"Are you sure you wanna wear that?" Katara asked as Cordelia did her hair with the hair ties Zuko gave her "it's the only thing I have to keep my hair out of my face" Cordelia said as Aang showed up "Top of the morning, Momo!" He said as Momo jumped on his shoulder "Sounds like you slept well." Katara said "Like a baby moose lion. I'm ready to face the Fire Lord." Aang said "So, what's your strategy for taking him down? Gonna get your glow on and hit him with a little Avatar State action?" Toph asked punching the air.

"I can't. When Azula shot me with lightning, my seventh chakra was locked, cutting off my connection to all the cosmic energy in the universe." Aang explained "You know what I just heard? Blah, blah, spiritual mumbo jumbo blah, blah, something about space." Toph said bored "Oh, no. Sokka, do you think the fog will delay the invasion?" Katara asked staring at the fog approaching them "No. That is the invasion" Sokka said looking at the fog more closely "urg, Sota" Cordelia groaned "please try to go easy on him" katara said running to the shore.

"Hey Cordelia" Sota said showing up behind Cordelia with a banquet of lilies "what-oh wow, thank you" she said collecting the lilies embarrassed 'maybe I should give him a chance' she thought blushing as she hid her face behind the flowers "Cordelia, Toph, this is Haru. When we met him, his town was controlled by the Fire Nation. So he had to hide his earthbending." Aang said leading Cordelia and Toph to the boy "nice to meet you" Cordelia said.

"Oh, what's this?" Katara asked pointing the flowers in Cordelia hand "it's just something Sota gave me" Cordelia said turning her face "you like it?" Katara asked "well lilies are my favorite flowers so...yea I love it" Cordelia said using the flowers to cover her face as katara teased her.

"He's a nervous deck" Cordelia said watching Sokka give his speech "I think you mean reck" Katara corrected "Thank you, Sokka. It's okay why don't you take a break? Let me just clarify a few points for everyone. Today, is the day of black sun, and I want to thank you all for your self-sacrifice, and your courage. There are two steps to the invasion, a naval stage, and then a land stage. To gain sea access to the Fire Nation capital, we need to get past our first major obstacle here, The Great Gates of Azulon. Next, we hit the land, and we hit hard. We must fight past their battlements and secure the plaza tower. Once we do that, it's up to the Royal Palace. At that point, the eclipse will begin." Hakoda said taking over.

"I think it would be best if I lead the waterbenders" Cordelia said packing her bending water "I'm taking Appa how do you wanna do that?" Katara asked "don't worry about it" Cordelia said before Sota showed up behind them "I have a message to give you from your father" Sota said holding a scroll "throw it into the water or burn it" Cordelia said "I think it would be best to read it" Sota said as she collected the scroll, "what does it say?" Katara asked "the usual, asking how my day is and how much he cares and all that stuff and then reminds me of my marriage" Cordelia said tossing the scroll into the sea.

"There they are, the great gates of azulon" Hakoda said "I don't see any gates." Katara said confused "Katara, you and the swamp benders whip up a fog cover" Hakoda said.

"So, this is it huh?" Aang said as they stood on top of the submarine "Are you ready for the Fire Nation to know the Avatar is alive?" Sokka asked "I'm ready." Aang said giving his friends a hug "I hope you kick some serious Fire Lord butt, Twinkle Toes." Toph said "yea, good luck" Cordelia said patting his head before Hakoda started talking "let's go" Sokka said walking away.

"Water benders defend the dock, Sota your coming with me!" Cordelia instructed as the two ran with the earth benders. "Watch your back Toph!" Cordelia said defending Toph from an attack "thanks" Toph said before a fire bender appeared in front of Cordelia "the fire rock thing is getting annoying" Cordelia said creating a shield of water not noticing a fire bender behind her "watch out Cordelia!" Sota called out as the firebender burnt her leg.

"Are you okay?" Sota asked running to her side "yea I'm-urg" she said falling to the ground after trying to stand "you should heal yourself" Sota suggested "there's no time, I can manage" Cordelia said standing up and walking to where Sokka who was giving instructions was.

"Aang what are you doing here?" Cordelia asked spotting the boy gliding towards them "Please tell me you're here because the Fire Lord turned out to be a big wimp and you didn't even need the eclipse to take him down." Sokka hoped "He wasn't home. No one was. The entire palace city is abandoned." Aang said "they knew" Sokka said "well, Azula and her friends did pretend to be the Kyoshi warriors so I'm guessing, yea they knew" Cordelia said.

"It's over. The Fire Lord is probably long-gone; far away on some remote island where he'll be safe during the eclipse" Aang said in dismay "No. My instincts tell me he wouldn't go too far. He would have a secret bunker; somewhere he could go and be safe during the siege but still be close enough to lead his nation." Sokka thought "If it's an underground secret bunker we're looking for, I'm just the girl to find it." Toph said pointing at herself "then what are we doing here? Let's go look for him" Cordelia said "The mechanist gave me this timing device. It looks like we've got about ten minutes until the full eclipse. Ten minutes to find the Fire Lord." Sokka said taking out something from his pocket.

Later

"Do you think they're gonna be alright?" Cordelia asked watching as the moon covered the sun "I hope so" Hakoda said "how do you feel about the eclipse" Katara asked helping her father "I don't know, my bending will become stronger so that's a plus" Cordelia said "The eclipse is starting! Put on your eclipse glasses!" The mechanic said as they all put on the glasses.

"What do we do now? The eclipse is over?" Cordelia asked running to Hakoda "I don't know but I'm expecting to see some fire benders any minute now" Hakoda said as firenation airships appeared "They're back!" Katara pointed out "It was all a trap! Azula knew we were coming and she's plotted out every move! We've just got to get to the beach as fast as we can. If we can make it to the submarines, maybe we can get away safely." Sokka said "They've got air power, but so do I! I'm gonna do what I can to slow them down." Aang said opening his glider.

"Appa, you and I can help too." Katara said getting on the bison "everyone let's get back to the subs" Sokka said "they're heading for the beach" Cordelia said before falling to the ground.

"Come on Sota" Cordelia said getting on Appa "sorry but I'll stay back" Sota said placing her down "why?" She asked trying to stand "it would be a disgrace to the northern water tribe if I were to let these men stay here and become slaves, and plus on a side note I hope you were impressed by my waterbending, I trained a lot" Sota said jumping down "...your so stupid, all guys are stupid die for all I care" Cordelia said turning her head away from him as tears streamed down her face.
