The chase/ bitter work

"The way they were following us I don't think they are friendly" Cordelia said approaching the others as three figured exited the vehicle "It's those three girls from Omashu!" Katara said as they all took a fighting stance.

"We can take them. Three on Four!" Toph said "Actually Toph, there's five of us" Sokka reminded "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't count you. You know, no bending and all" Toph said sheepishly angering Sokka "I can still fight!" Sokka said "Okay, three on four plus Sokka" she said as Sokka face turned red.

"I can't believe those girls followed us all the way from Omashu" Katara said after the encounter "I still think we could have taken them" Toph said "Are you kidding me? The crazy blue firebending and the flying daggers are bad enough, but last time we saw them, one of those girls did something that took my bending away. That's scary" Katara said as the sun rose and Sokka complained.

Later

"Honestly, fighting when we're all tired? Sigh, I'll follow toph to check if she's okay" Cordelia said opening her umbrella as she followed after the blind child into the forest "good idea Cordelia, thanks" Sokka said.

"Toph, do you think you could have handled the situation with Katara better?" Cordelia asked following behind Toph "I don't wanna talk right now" Toph said  "I think we should head back to the others since non of us knows our way home from here, we're two girls who's been sheltered from the day of our births" Cordelia said yawning "...are you angry?" Toph asked surprising Cordelia.

"?, what makes you think that?" Cordelia asked "everytime you're near or at a specific date or time you always seem angry, even though you sound happy your heart says otherwise" Toph said "...I'm not angry-" Cordelia before getting hushed, "ow, that really hurt my tailbone" an older man said rubbing his behind "look at what you've done, you hurt him" Cordelia said walking over to the man.

"Here's your tea...you seam a little to young to be traveling alone" the old man said "you seem to old" Toph said as the man laughed "I know what you're thinking ... I look like I can't handle being by myself" toph said casually "I wasn't thinking that" the man said "You wouldn't even let me pour my own cup of tea!" Toph said "I poured your tea because I wanted to and for no other reason" The man said "People see me and think I'm weak. They want to take care of me, but I can take care of myself, by myself" she said.

"You sound like my nephew, always thinking you need to do things on your own, without anyone's support. There is nothing wrong with letting the people who love you help you. Not that I love you, I just met you" the man said as toph laughed "your nephew must be a stubborn guy, but he's lucky to have someone who cares for him, all my father cares about is me getting married it makes me wanna kill myself just listening to him" Cordelia said as the two laughed "So where is your nephew?" Toph asked.

"I've been tracking him actually" the man said sipping his tea "is he lost?" Cordelia asked "Yes, a little bit. His life has recently changed and he's going through very difficult times. He's trying to figure out who he is and he went away" he said "So now you're following him" Toph concluded "I know he doesn't want me around him right now, but if he needs me, I'll be there" the man said "your a really kind man" Cordelia said "Your nephew is very lucky, even if he doesn't know it. Thank you." Toph said standing up "My pleasure. Sharing tea with two fascinating stranger is one of life's true delights" the man said.

"What's a sweat talker" Cordelia giggled "No, thank you for what you said. It helped me, come on Cordelia" toph said as Cordelia stood up and followed after her "Oh, and about your nephew, maybe you should tell him that you need him, too" she added before they left.

"Sorry it took so long to find you guys" Cordelia said freezing Azula leg "thanks" Katara said with a smile before continuing their fight with Azula.

Next few days

"Why so loud early in the morning?" Cordelia asked waking up to a loud sound from Toph "sorry" Aang said "toph was just about to teach Aang some earthbending" Katara said "that sounds like fun, I'll watch" Cordelia said packing sleeping bag.

"What are you doing in a hole?" Cordelia asked noticing Sokka in a hole "perfect, Cordelia get Toph to get me out of here!" Sokka shouted "oh I wish I could, but my legs hurt and the sun is bright, I can't walk anymore" Cordelia said sitting on a rock "I'm starting to hate this side of you" Sokka said irritated as she laughed while the small brown animal climbed his head.

"Okay, karma person or thing, whoever's in charge of this stuff. If I can just get out of this situation alive, I will give up meat and sarcasm. Okay?" Sokka said before his wolf tail got yanked by the animal "why are you talking to yourself?" Cordelia asked while closing her umbrella as the sun began to set "don't start, Ow! That's all I got. It's pretty much my whole identity. Sokka, the meat and sarcasm guy. But I'm willing to be Sokka, the veggies and straight talk fellow. Deal?" He asked as Aang arrived.

"Aang! Thank goodness! Have you got any meat?" Sokka said relieved "Cordelia why didn't you call us?" Aang asked "oh, but my leg hurts I feel like if I take one step I'll die, the sun is too bright" Cordelia said faking tiredness "I'll try and get Sokka out of here" Aang said "while your doing that I'll go get toph or katara" Cordelia said standing up "didn't she say her leg hurts?" Aang asked "it's complicated" Sokka said as the cub walked up to them.
