“Hm, What's up kid?” Jasper asked as him, Camilo and the Kids eat Dinner. But it seems Camilo was distracted about the thought of you were just out of reach.
“Camilo.” Olive Called then Camilo snaps out.
“Huh?”
“I was asking if you were okay. You've been spacing out since I came home.” Jasper added.
Camilo sighed. “S—sorry Jasper. I just— you know when we met I never knew where I was, right?” Camilo asked and Jasper nodded.
“Well, I recent found out the one of my uhmm f—friends lives near here. I— Haven't seen her in year. I miss her.” Camilo frowned.
“Hm, maybe I could help.” Jasper said that lighten Camilo's Face. “What's her name?” Jasper ask.
“It's Y/n. Abby's friend.” Olive said.
August took his tablet and showed Camilo a picture. It was you. He was so happy to see your face again.
“Yeah, that's her.” Camilo smiled.
“Oh, she just live a near Abby's. Do you want me to take you there tonight?” Jasper suggested and Camilo smiled brightly with the Excitement.
“Santa madre de Cristo, de verdad I mean Really Señor?!” Camilo asked and Jasper nodded once more.
“I'll there Mi amor, like I said.” Camilo thought as he held on
Camilo finished his food faster. After dinner, he and Jasper was on the way to go there. The kids already fell asleep so they left. As they drive away, Camilo couldn't help but smile. After 12 Whole miserable months, he was going to see you again. He can already imagine the scenario once he saw you face to face.
“Is this a Dream?!!!”
After 20 minutes of Driving, they finally arrived at the house. Camilo remembered when you showed him, Gabriel and Alicia your family picture. The house in front of him was the background of your picture.
He breathed deeply. “Relax Camilo. Calm down. No need to freak out, You're here. Just a few steps away from her.”
“You okay kid?” Jasper asked.
“S—sí Señor. Just— excited. I've been waiting for this moment for a long time.” Camilo exaggerated.
“Well simmer down. If you freak out, it won't be the Ideal moment you were expecting.” Jasper teased and Camilo chuckled.
You two walk towards the door. All was down to this moment. Knock. Just Knock.
Camilo took a deep breath before knocking. He then heard footsteps. The door hade a blurry stained window so he could see a silhouette of a woman.
The door opened.
But the excitement was soon replaced by disappointment the moment he saw the one that stood there.
"This is my older brother Chris, my Older sister Katie, My little Brother Justin, Me, my Mom and-... my dad." You said as you point out the pictures.
“Katie L/n?” Camilo asked.
“Uhmm Yeah, that's me.” Katie said in confusion. She looked to Camilo's Left and saw Jasper. “Officer Jasper! Hi!” She greeted.
“Good evening Katie.” Jasper replied.
“What brings you here in this uhmm fine late evening?” Asked Katie.
“Oh we're looking for Y/n.”
“Y/n?” Katie asked again and Jasper Nodded. “What uhmm is it about the Purse Incident cause you know she didn't do anything! She—”
Jasper chuckled. “No, no that's not why we are here.” He pats Camilo's back. “This boy over here is looking for her. He said they're friends.”
“You?” Katie looked at Camilo from head to toe.
“Abby was right. People would really look at me from Head to Toe with this outfit.”
“Uhh s—sí. We lost in touch a year ago and I just recently found out she lives her and thought maybe we could talk. I—is she home?” Camilo asked. Indeed, Katie's glares at him was terrifying. Just like how you would describe it to Camilo.
“Oh, unfortunately no. She's out with her friends.” Katie said that made Camilo more Disappointed.
“Y/n? She's not here?”
Camilo's face was like a Puppy's who was taken away from it's mother. It was Heartbreaking.
“Oh.” He said in a low voice.
“Maybe we should just Come back tomorrow, yes?” Jasper asked.
“Or maybe we should wait till she comes home? I mean it's school night!” Camilo defended.
“It's almost 10 pm, it's almost curfew hours. I'm afraid you should come back tomorrow kid.” Katie said.
Camilo looked down. Took a deep breath and looked back out to them. “Y—yeah. Sure. T—tomorrow.” Camilo stuttered.
“Maybe it's just not the right time after all. Y/n, where are you?!”
