This might be a little off, because I'm listening to Steven Universe music. A little background knowledge, one of my cats is named after Steven. :)
Qibli's POV
BEEP BEEP BEEP
I slammed my hand on my alarm clock, then turned over, muttering "Just five more minutes..."
"Qibli!" I awoke to someone shaking my shoulders. It was my sister, Sunny Bright. "Whaaaat?" I asked her. She sighed. "You slept in a lot, Mr." She said. "School started 2 hours ago!" I threw off my covers. Luckily, last night I had forgot to change so I was fully dressed. "Welp, gotta go!" I said, and threw my backpack on my shoulder. I ran out to my balcony, and slid down a rope to get to the ground.
"Wait!" Sunny poked her head out. "Take these!" She tossed a pack of mini muffins. "Thanks!" I said, and jogged off.
I glanced at my phone. There were a lot of missed messages from earlier. Especially from our group chat.
KinkyBlinky: WHERE ARE YOUUUUUUUU
MoonTheNightwing: ?
IcePrince: Qibli, If you get in detention again...
IcePrince: Actually, I will be happy

EmberAshes: I find that hard to belive
When I got to school, It was free period. I headed to the library.
Everyone was there, talking. I snuck up behind them. Winter and Ash saw me, and they raised an eyebrow. I put a finger to my lips, and they simultaneously rolled their eyes. I rolled mine right back, and they stayed silent.
"Why isn't he responding?" Kinkajou asked, staring at her phone. "He's probably fine." Turtle said, squeezing her hand. "Probably? What if he isn't???" Moon worried. She sat down on a stool, wrapping her arms around herself. They all stayed silent for a second. "Where is Qibli?" Moon asked.
"Right behind you." I whispered in her ear. "Qibli!" Moon turned around and hugged me. "Are you alright?" She said. "Perfectly fine." I replied reassuringly. "Why are you late?" Turtle asked. "Well, I kinda slept in?" I admitted, scratching my head. The bell rang, and we headed to Mr. Morrowseer's class.
The class was as usual, with Morrowseer working us way too hard, and us getting it all wrong in his opinion. Finally, the bell rang. "WAIT!" Morrowseer yelled. "YOU ALL HAVE TO WORK ON YOUR PROJECTS AFTER SCHOOL TODAY!" And with that, we all rushed out.
Moon walked down the sidewalk, and I caught up with her. "Do you want to work on our project for Morrowseer's class?" I asked her. "Yeah!" She replied. "We will have to work at your house though." I nodded my head, and we walked to my house.
I reached into the pot where we hide our house key, and took it out. "You're letting me see that?" Moon asked. I shrugged. "I trust you." I unlocked the door, and we went inside. "Do you want to work outside?" I asked. "Fine with me." Moon said. I grabbed some supplies and we went outside.
Moon stood in awe at our giant backyard. We had no grass, except in the front yard. It was all sand, and there was an in ground pool. It wasn't made out of stone or cement, but it was a dip in the ground filled with water. There were palm trees and cactus's all around, including the goat Cactus.
There were some tents spread around, and we had a big stone deck with a huge canopy. On the deck there was comfy chairs spread around the deck. "This is so beautiful." Moon said. "My mom used to live in the desert, and she moved here when my sister was born." I replied. "We wanted her to feel at home here, so we decorated the backyard like this."
Moon and I sat down and started working. After a while, I stood up, walked to the pool and sat down by the edge. Moon did the same. She skimmed her fingers over the water. I glanced at her, a sly look in my eyes. "What?" Moon asked. Without answering, I pushed her over the edge. Moon grabbed my hand and pulled me into the pool after her.
Moon rose to the surface of the water, sputtering. I glanced at her, and we started laughing. Moon splashed me, and I somersaulted backwards. "You really have to start this?" I asked her, then splashed an enormous wave at her. It knocked her under. She went up for a breath of water, then went back under. Before I knew it, she was behind me. She knocked me over, and I went under too.
I grabbed her arm, and pulled her back up. We broke the surface, laughing. We came up right in front of each other, and I stared into her eyes. We smiled, and I brushed a string of hair that had gotten into her face. I had forgotten how pretty she was..
Moon suddenly slipped. I caught her, and her cheeks went red with embarrassment. I helped her stand up, then hauled myself out of the water. "Watch this." I said, then double flipped into the pool, splashing Moon with water. She laughed. "Let me try."
She climbed up, then did a perfect dive into the water. She went under the water, and I waited for her to rise up. But she didn't. "Moon?" I tentatively called. When no one responded, I dove under the water.
Moon was curled up at the bottom of the pool, and I could see a tint of red around her. Uh oh. I could see her trying to breathe. Hold on, Moon. Just before I reached her, I saw her let go of her breath. No, no, no. I picked her up, almost running out of water. I paddled up, and we broke the surface.
I pulled her out of the pool, and laid her down in the sand. I pushed up and down on her chest, hoping she would breathe. Finally, she coughed out some water and sat up. "what...happened?" Moon asked quietly. "Moon!" I hugged her. "Are you okay?" "I think so?" She replied. Moon moved her leg, and winced. There was a big cut on her ankle. "You dived into the water and didn't come up." I told her. "Why did you stay under, and how are you hurt?" "When I was under the water, something pricked my ankle and..." Moon started. "I don't know." She shivered.
I wrapped a towel around her. "Well, you're safe now." We finished up half of the project, then Moon had to go home.
We stood in the front yard. "You sure you're walking home by yourself?" I asked her. "Yes." Moon smiled. "I'm fine. I should go, my Mom is waiting." "Okay." I responded. Moon walked down the driveway, then ran back to me. She hesitated, then stood on her tippy toes and kissed my cheek. "Thank you." She said. "For everything." "Always." I replied. Then she walked down the driveway to home.
