IT'S NOT ME

Beggar

It was still day time
but no sun could reach this alley ,
it gaves me the creep
and to make it worst
there was a beggar coming my way .

I tried to run
so I won't face the creepy woman
but this beggar said something ......

Something that made me sink in thought

"Waad" - the beggar said

I turned around,
with a heart full of mixed feelings .

Happiness that someone actually recognizes the real me.

Fear of the unknown situation I'm facing now.

And confusion as to how this beggar that I've never seen knows me.

"There's a lot going on that little mind" -the beggar said

Well can you blame me?! -I thought

"No you're not to blame"- the beggar said

WHAT DID SHE JUST READ MY MIND

"That's correct lady waad or shall I say Alex"

I stared at her in disbelief

So if she can read my mind ....

does that mean you're a super woman

She chuckled
"Nice name but people here calls me the north witch"

A witch !!
So that's why she has super powers

"We don't have time waad , the duchess is looking for you know "

How does she know this

She smirked and proudly said
" there's nothing I don't know "

She did some weird movements with her hand
and suddenly a doll appeared

The doll looked like me ?!
The real me...

"Now go this way and you shall see the duchy carriage "

I followed her instruction
It's not like I had a choice
I don't even know where am I

and I ended in this situation

here I am in the arms of the duchess ....

As soon as she saw me she run and hugged me with her eyes full of tears

This woman is starting to get on my nerves ,
whenever she acts like a mother
I feel a sense of suffocation

I can't wait to go back to my real mom

"Alex where did you go!!
Why you doing this to me baby....
if anything happened to you I would have gone crazy......
and what would I say to your dad"

Oh that man!
he didn't show his face since that night ,
I guess he wouldn't care if I disappeared .

Of course I can't say this
so I held the doll that I was hiding and showed it to her with a big smile.

"What is this Alex ?"- she said with a half crying face

It's a doll...
duh is she blind

*I found it and I want to keep it *
I wrote in the notebook
and showed it to her

She looked at me with a rather disturbing gaze

"You can have whatever doll you want , why would you take such a thing....
if you want a doll that badly let's ask the duke to build you a doll house full of the nicest and newest ones "

These people are really crazy rich.

I huged the doll tight and signed a No with my hands .

Oh crap !!
Why did I had to sign ,
I could've just shaked my head
I totally forgot Alex can't sign

But why is the duchess looking at me like that ....
it giving me the creep
I guess it's her way of showing happiness

I waited in silence ...

And suddenly the duchess bursts laughing
"There's no way a spoiled girl like you could learn such a hard thing"
-said the duchess

Excuse me isn't she being a little mean to her child .

Then the head maid started whispering to the duchess ,
they seemed serious,
but I couldn't hear anything

I wonder what's this lady is up to.

I'm starting to doubt her.

"We should inform the duke he will be very happy , ma'am"- said the head maid

"Yes you're absolutely right Mayra" - the duchess said

I guess that Mayra is a close maid to the duchess ,
it may explain why she wear a different costume than the other maids

Thankfully,
the duchess forgot about the doll I brought
and only kept talking about how special I am to be able to sign
She didn't even shut her mouth for a second during the whole way back

My ears are gonna explode
