(Reina's POV)
"Seriously? This is the last library." I mumbled quietly, as my friend Haruhi and I looked for a quiet place to study. "This place has four library rooms. You'd think one of them would be quiet." She grumbled. We sighed and quietly kept walking. Haruhi and I both got in to the elite school, Ouran Academy. I got in on a music scholarship and she on an academic honors scholarship. We quickly became friends however, after finding out we both were "commoners" as our classmates would put it. It was annoying, and quite rude if you asked me, but at least I wouldn't have to endure it alone. We walked until I noticed a door. "Haruhi, look." I said pulling her back by her sweater. she looked at me, and noticed a large door with the sign, "Music Room 3." "An abandoned music room?" She said, she looking to me. "I didn't know it existed." I said just as confused as her. "I guess this will be the only place we can study in peace and quiet." She said and I silently agreed as we pulled open the large doors. "Welcome!" A group of voices said. I blinked in shock, and apparently Haruhi had the same reaction. Sitting in front of us were a group of boys. 'A host club?' I thought.
I looked over them in confusion but also mild amusement, taking my time to assess what my friend and I had stumbled into. A tall blond was sitting on a throne like chair. 'Definitely the so called king. He must be the president of the club.' I looked on and saw a shorter blond. 'Oh...wow...boy lollita.' I said looking at his much taller counterpart. 'And he must be the strong silent one.' I moved my eyes to the twins. 'Oh god...twins? I can see the devilish look in their eyes. Please.' I rolled my eyes until I got to the last member. 'The cool type.' I said. The blond stood up. "Only those with excellent social standing and those from filthy rich families are lucky enough to spend their time here at the elite private school, . The Ouran Host Club is where the school's handsomest boys, with too much time on their hands, entertain young ladies who also have way too much time on their hands. Just think of it as Ouran Academy's elegant playground for the super-rich and beautiful." He said. "You seem to have recited that quite a few times." I finally said. "This is a host club?" Haruhi questioned. "Wow two guests. A boy and a girl." The twins said together. I gave them a puzzled look. 'There are two girls.' I thought silently, until it hit me. I looked towards my friend. 'Ohhh...Oh my Gaia!' I thought. Haruhi was dressed in an ugly brown sweater, brown slacks, and she had her glasses on. The poor girl also had to cut her hair because some brat in her neighborhood got gum in it. I went to say something before the "cool type" gentleman spoke up.
"Hikaru, Kaoru, I believe this young man is in the same class as you, isn't he?" He said to the twins. "And if I'm correct, you mademoiselle, are in mine and Tamaki's class." He said. I looked at him and it clicked." Oh that's correct. Kyoya Ootori, yes?" I stated. "That is correct." He confirmed with a smile. 'Charming.' I said. Hikaru and Kaoru than spoke up, about the question prior. "Yeah, but he's shy. He doesn't act very sociably, so we don't know much about him." The twins claimed. Kyoya looked at Haruhi and a lightbulb seemed to switch on in his head. He must've figured out she was a girl. He simply smiled. "Hm. Well that wasn't very polite." He mused making me look at him puzzled. "Welcome to the host club Mr. Honor student, and Miss music student." Kyoya said politely taking my hand and placing a kiss on it. I took my hand away quickly, nearly hitting him. "Thank you?" I said but immediately the president, Tamaki, ran up to us and got in our faces. I stuck my arm out in front of Haruhi protectively. "What? That means you must be Haruhi Fujioka! The exceptional honor student we've heard about!" He exclaimed. "And you! The musical prodigy, Reina Mae Aizawa." He said using my full name, I scrunched up my nose in disgust. 'I hate my full name.' "Please, Reina is just fine." I said confused. "How did you know our names?" Haruhi asked. "Yeah my same question." I said just as confused uncomfortably. "Why, you're infamous. It's not every day that commoners gain entrance into our academy." Kyoya claimed, and my eye twitched. Haruhi grabbed my hand knowing how the phrase "commoner" made my blood boil. It was degrading, humiliating even. "You must have an audacious nerve to work hard enough to fight your way into this school as an honor Student Mr. Fujioka. and You as a musical prodigy Miss Aizawa." Kyoya finished, snapping me out of my angry daze. "Well uh, thank you I guess." Haruhi said squeezing my hand. "Thank you I guess." I repeated, venom laced in my words, making her squeeze my hand harder. "You're welcome. You're heroes to other poor people Fujioka and Miss Reina. You've shown the world that even a poor person can excel at an elite private academy. It must be hard for you to constantly be looked down upon by others." Tamaki praised.
