"So all the afternoon classes have been cancelled?" Haruhi asked curiously as the host club was buzzing. "You mean no one told you? It's going to be crazy here for the next two days!" Our guests explained. "Ouran is hosting an exposition for the cultural clubs. Drama and choir clubs from a bunch of other schools have been invited." Yuki explained. "It's a big event the schools host annually." One of Haruhi's guests added. "Reina, you were invited to perform a song or two from your home weren't you?" Aimi said. I nodded my head. "Yeah I'm doing two Aimi." "Oh so that's why you were singing to dad the other day." "He wasn't going to let me leave until I did." I said to Haruhi. Haruhi was about to say something until we heard the twins. "What? you've never tried it?" Hikaru and Kaoru asked. I turned to see them and they had apparently cornered Renge. I walked over to them and looked at her. "What is the damage boys?" I asked. "She's never tried the instant coffee!" They said to me before turning back to her. "Didn't you know that it's the preferred drink of the Host Club?" Hikaru asked her. "And you are our manager so you should drink it too." Kaoru chimed in.
"Um, well I think I've heard of instant coffee before." Renge started to defend herself. "Choose your next words wisely." I mumbled to myself knowing the boys were going to correct her if she got it wrong. "Oh! That's right! It's when the coffee beans have already been ground for you?" She asked. 'Nope.' The boys immediately imitated a buzzer sound effect at her scaring her. I pulled them back. "Calm down! It's quite alright she doesn't know!" I said. I looked at her and smiled. "It's fine Renge if you're not much of a coffee drinker. Some people are some people aren't." I said taking her hand. "That's just ground coffee." Hikaru started. "Instant is something completely different." He added. "I don't think there are even coffee beans in instant coffee. You just mix this powder with hot water, and then drink it. You don't even have to brew it!" Hikaru explained thoroughly. "It's pretty awesome." Kaoru complimented. "So it's basically like coffee just not as robust." Kaoru finished for his twin. "And yet it's strangely satisfying." They said. "You're making this a bigger deal than it is boys. But I expect as much." I said to them shaking my head with a smile. "Now that you mention it we just ran out of it, didn't we?" I said though now pondering the thought. "Go buy us some more Haruhi!" The boys said. "Why do I have to go get it?" Haruhi asked. "Because you're the only commoner!" Hikaru said. "I-" "Reina can't because she's gotta practice for her performance today!" Kaoru said handing me my guitar. I sighed but they were right. They ushered her out explaining that she didn't have to see the exposition despite me being in it. "Reina! Show us one of the songs!" Yuki called. I sighed picking up my guitar. "Okay Soldier, Poet, King first." I said. I took a deep breath strumming and the started to sing:
There will come a soldier
Who carries a mighty sword
He will tear your city down
Oh lei, oh lai, oh, LordOh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh, Lord
He will tear your city down
Oh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh, LordThere will come a poet
Whose weapon is His word
He will slay you with His tongue
Oh lei, oh lai, oh, LordOh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh, Lord
He will slay you with His tongue
Oh lei, oh lai, oh, Lord
There will come a ruler
Whose brow is laid in thorn
Smeared with oil like David's boy
Oh lei, oh lai, oh, LordOh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh, Lord
Smeared with oil like David's boy
Oh lei, oh lai, oh, LordOh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh, Lord
He will tear your city down, oh lei, oh lai
