(The next day)
"I thought about it all night; maybe having a female manager is not so bad." Tamaki said coming into the club as I was tuning my guitar while sitting next to Kyoya and Haruhi who was going through my song list. "Why do you say that?" I asked just as the twins did. We picked up that habit. "Don't you see? She's transferred into the same class as Haruhi! If those two become friends as girls then Haruhi will become more girlish-" "Dude...seriously? I'm right fucking here!" I said. "No offense Reina but you're lady-like charm doesn't rub off on her." Tamaki said. I shrugged. "Okay true." I caved. "The unique of tender girlish air around her will stimulate Haruhi's sense of femininity." He explained. "Good grief." Hikaru groaned. "I'd like to see how this plays out but since our president is acting like the dumb blond he is let me break this down quickly: His plan will blow up in his face like it does every single time." I said making Kyoya's lips twitch up in a smile. Renge soon came in. "Everyone your lady manager has baked some cookies!" She sang. "Oh how ladylike I'm so moved!" Tamaki said. My eyes pierced into him and if I was Medusa he would've turned to stone at my icy gaze. "I didn't bake them for you, phony prince." Renge gave a bored look. She walked past Tamaki and held the tub to Kyoya. "They're a little burnt, but I know what you're going to say." She swooned. "You're right these are burnt." Honey said. "Mitskuni stop, they're bad for you." Mori said before she chased him away. "She's scary!" Honey cried as she chased him. "Kyoya." I groaned. "Bare it for me darling?" He said and I sighed. I took one of the cookies. "It's edible." I said handing it to him. "They're savory but not at all bad." Haruhi observed and I nodded in agreement. "Let me see." Hikaru said biting the other end of the cookie that was in Haruhi's mouth. "Oh Haruhi, you have some cookie crumbs on your face." Kaoru said as he licked her cheek.
"You know if you'd just said so I would have gotten it off myself." She deadpanned. "Your reaction is all wrong! This is where you're supposed to rebuff them, and casually brush them aside. Tell her Reina." Tamaki whined. "Why do you always run to me? Kyoya's club mom." I said pointing to the boy next to me. "I think he runs to you as you live with Haruhi." "I don't CONTROL her though. I can barely control Ranka." I said shivering. "Please stop sexually harassing me, Senpai." Haruhi asked flatly. "Harassing you?! If I am, then they're twice as guilty." Tamaki whined. "Are we sure you're not the host club's president?" I asked Kyoya. I sigh with an eye roll. "Too tepid." Renge said. We all fell quiet. "It's all too tepid! Except for you Kyoya!" She claimed. "kiss-ass." "Reina." He scolded and I shut up. "All your character's lackluster. All of you hosts are lacking a dark side!" She said. "Girls are vulnerable to handsome men going through some trauma." Renge stated. "She's correct." I said doing the calculations in my head. "Reina are you an otaku?" Hikaru asked wearily. "Closeted but yes." I said with a simple nod. "If you keep carrying on in this ridiculous manner; it's only a matter of time before everyone grows tired of it. Are you trying to ruin my sweet Kyoya's business? As manager, starting today, I'm changing all of your character's backgrounds!" Renge said and started with Honey-Senapai. "Kyoya." I said in a warning again. "Darling?" He said, placing a hand on the small of my back. "Fiinne." I groaned. "And lastly you!" She pointed to me. "You're ladylike but should have a sharp tongue." "She/I already do!" Me and the other hosts protested. I looked around and they all either looked away or turned pale in fear. "I think Reina is perfect the way she is." Kyoya said to Renge. "Well if you say so Kyoya. But she should have a bit of a sad undertone to her." She said. She reached for my hand and looked at the ring. "Who's is this?" She asked. "Don't touch it! It was my father's." I said sharply. "Your father-" "Don't! I can take this anymore!" I yelled. I set my guitar down. "Look, I tried to stick this out for Haruhi and Kyoya but my father is where I draw the line! Call me when you are all done playing into this ridiculousness!" I exclaimed. I stormed into the hallway and out the music room.
I sat in a different music room and took a deep breath. "Reina-chan?" I heard Honey's voice. He sat in front of me and Mori sat next to me. He draped an arm around me and Honey placed his hand on my knee. "My apologies for my outburst Senpai." I said. "Your dad meant a lot to you." He said. I nodded. "I refuse to partake in Renge's futile craziness. She obviously has her head in the clouds." I said to them. "Are you going to be okay Reina?" Mori's deep voice asked. I sighed. "I can't do it." I said, defeated. "I'm not going to quit the host club but I will quit the whole charade Kyoya wants to play." I said directly. "Fair enough, we can talk to Renge-san." They said. I smiled. "Thank you senpais." I said hugging them both. They hugged me back. They stood up and Mori helped me up. We walked back in and Renge stormed up to me; when she went to raise hell I put my hand up to stop her. The guys gasped. "My apologies for the way I stormed out. It was childish and uncalled for. However, I refuse to take part in this. My father is near and dear to my heart and his death killed a part of me that I will never get back." I explained calmly. Before Renge could protest Kyoya jumped in. "We respect your decision Reina." He said. I looked at him with a look of thanks. "Fine. Well let's get started on the other things." Renge said dismissively. Kyoya walked towards me. "Are you alright Reina?" He asked taking my hand. I nodded. "I know when you're lying to me." He said tilting my chin up. His lips brushed against mine ever so lightly. I kissed him back. "She's a lot." I said to him. "I know but please...continue to bare it." He said kissing my knuckles. I looked in his eyes. "Fine. Only for you." I said to him.
