"Reina, I'm so glad you are going to stay with us!" Ranka said as he and Haruhi helped me move into a spare room in their apartment. "Thank you for letting me stay Ranka. I hope this doesn't inconvenience you and Haruhi." "Nonsense!" Ranka said. "You are Haruhi's friend and such a sweet girl at that! I'm happy to have you here!" He said. I smiled softly at Ranka's kindness. He was such a nice man. "Still, I'd love to help out in anyway I can." I said stubbornly. "It's cute you think I'll let you." Ranka said pinching my cheek. Haruhi placed her hand on my shoulder. "Just let him do what he wants." She said. I groaned. "Okay. You girls have to go dress shopping right?" Ranka said. "Wha-" "You have your schedule written on your arm Reina." Haruhi interrupted my confused thought. I looked down and remembered the green ink my checklist was written in on my right arm. "Oh right." I said. "Well run along. I'll be here arranging your room Reina!" Ranka chirped. I went to protest but he sent me a look that said, "Don't bother." I sighed as Haruhi pulled me out.
"As much as I love your dad, I don't want him arranging my stuff." I stated. She rolled her eyes. "Try all you might, he will find a way to make you like his second daughter." Haruhi answered my complaint. "Whatever." I said as we came to a boutique. "This looks good enough." I said, I opened the door and we walked in. I looked and weaved between the dresses. "Did the hosts pick out an outfit for you Haruhi?" I asked her looking through the dresses. "Yes, but since you're the only girl host and kinda threatened Hikaru and Kaoru they wanted to leave you alone. Although Kyoya seemed reluctant." Haruhi answered. I hummed thinking about what happened thursday in the music room. He kissed me. Friday I wanted to talk to him but he avoided me. I tried to make conversation but he would act like I wasn't there. It hurt but I didn't know what to do. Of course he didn't want to be seen with a commoner. Haruhi then came rushing towards me with a two piece dress in hand. "This one." She said excitedly. I looked at it. Sparkly top with a black bottom and a slit up the leg. I smiled. "Perfect." I said taking it from her and paying for it. "Where'd you get the money?" Haruhi asked. "Oh that was easy. I hacked into Elaina's bank account and put all her money on this." I said lifting my card. "I thought she didn't work?" Haruhi said. "She doesn't. All her money is mine and Mateo's. I put half our money into a savings account only I can access, and when Mateo gets out: He can access, and The rest on a checking. She's broke!" I said accenting the 'k'. "You are too smart for your own good." Haruhi praised with a smirk as I paid for the dress. "Tell me something I don't know." I said with a smirk as we walked out. When we got back from doing a few errands, Ranka was waiting. "Let me see the dress!" He begged. I pulled it out and he smiled and jumped in joy. "Oh it's beautiful! You have to let me do your hair and makeup for this party!" He begged. I blinked. "I don't think that was a request." I said. "It wasn't." Ranka said a fire burning in his eyes. "R-right. Thank you Ranka." I said with a nervous smile. I went to hang the dress up and looked around my new space. Ranka had decorated and made it feel like home enough for me. I smiled and sat on my bed. I looked at the picture of my dad and brother and I at my first piano recital. "Okay guys. I'll do my best. That's what you would want." I said running my fingers over their faces with a sad smile.

"Quick, quick, slow. Quick, quick, slow. Good work, Haruhi. Now, on the slow, you should bring your feet together. Remember, the gentleman always leads, and make sure to look at the lady you're dancing with." Kanako said teaching Haruhi to dance. Originally, She was practicing with me, but she was starting to hurt my toes so I let Kanako take my place to teach her. "Taking a break?" I heard the cool, collected, voice of the vice president of the host club say from my side. I turned my head looking up. "She kinda kept stepping on my toes." I said to him as we watched Haruhi trip and fall on top of Kanako. "Okay that's new." I said and he chuckled. "What about you? You don't need to practice?" He asked. I looked at him out the corner of my eye. "Why do you ask?" I replied looking forward. He grabbed my hand. "Come mademoiselle-" "No. No." I said pulling away. "I'm alright." I said. He looked at me puzzled. "I don't want to make you uncomfortable. I'm a commoner after all." I said walking out. I felt someone follow me out and sit next to me. "Trouble in paradise?" The soft bell like voice said. I turned. "Oh Princess Kanako-" "Now Lady Reina; I want us to be friends. Call me Kanako." She said. "Okay only if you call me Reina." I said nudging her and she smiled.
