AUDITION:

"News to me."

"No idea, Skye." Drew chimed. "Don't worry about it."

I shook my head "don't worry about it?" I scowl "people hate me, they don't even know me and they hate me." I threw my arms up. "I don't get it." I huff

Maddy hugged my side and rested her head on my shoulder "they don't hate you, they're just invasive." Chase and Drew agree. I drank my iced coffee and went about my day being weary about what I did and how I did it. Someone would be able to twist it in some way that made me look like a bitch so.

We were now on set and finally felt comfortable. I watched them act, at food, napped and spoke to Lila, jonas' daughter. "So what do you do?" She sipped her pink drink and took a bite from her cake pop.

"Um I have a job interview soon, actually, but" I shrugged "it's boring but" pause "What can ya' do" I laugh.

She nods slowly. "Can you sing?" I say no and laugh, she does to. "Dance?" I say no, again. "Are you smart?" She asks, giggling.

I shake my head "meh."

She stops for a second. "What about season 3?" I sip my drink, "what about it?" I ask. "Well, someone dropped out the other day" she paused "pretty important part too, but, you could audition, bet my dad would let you he's pretty desperate for someone to play Grace."

She raises her eyebrows and I shook my head. "I can't act" I laugh "I can't even lie."

"You can at least try, what's the harm?" She asks. "I embarrass myself!" I laugh aloud. "Your doing it." She flatlined and I felt my face turn red.

"Why would you embarrass yourself?" Jonas comes from behind me. Lily tells him her idea and his face brightens. "Really! I can totally see that." I try shake him off. He searches me closely trying to picture it. He smiles "tomorrow 10 AM, here, wear shorts and tank, dress like a pogue." He points at me and walk away back to set.

"Wha-" I stare blankly at his back and turn to see lily had soon joined him. What the fuck have I got myself into.

The next morning came and I woke up at 8 AM, which I'd never done before, I was stressed to day the least. I ran around the apartment searching for shorts. Denim, preferably. I shook Madelyn awake. "Mads. Mads!" She jumped awake.

"What, what happened?"

"Nothing I need shorts." She looks at her phone to check the time, she groans and turns back to her pillow. "It's early go away." She whines into her pillow.

"I have an audition! I need help" I whine aloud. She bolts up and stares at me. "A what?!" She yells. I shush her.

She stands from her messy bed, "Why didn't you tell me? What's it for? A show? Movie? Oh my god, tell me!" I blink and stare blankly.

"No big deal, Grace, the character person, Grace." I ramble, searching for the right words. "Outerbanks. Season 3, what the fuck do I do!" I panic. So does she.

She helps me get ready by 9 and I set of by Uber.

"Good morning, pate." He smiles at me. I internationally groan. "Here is a little part of the script I'll give you 20 minutes, okay." He passed me two sheets of paper that I'm suppose to memorise in .2 seconds.

I did so, practice, outside the room making sure I got everyone word correct. I was ready. Sort of.

"Okay because it's last minute" he pauses "I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt. When your ready." He waits.

I take a deep breathe.

I do my audition going back and forth in lines with a middle aged woman. Jonas sat behind his table with a smile on his face.

"I'm so glad that went well we really need a Grace" he lets out a huff of air that seemed he'd been holding in this whole time. I stare blankly. "I'll let you know Skye," he smiles. Dropping his pen. "If you did this" he points to the table, motioning now, "I wouldn't have to do this."

He does a thin lip smile clearly still mad about his last minute drop-out actress.

If I get this role I don't have to go home for another 2 months. Meaning I don't have to leave my friends. However, it means my life will change forever.
