READY SET GO:
"Okay... 3...2..."
"GO." Drew runs across the sand before I could even realise. "Hey you fucking cheat!" I yell over the wind that smacks my face as I run after him.
He taps the stick we used as a finished line, "I win, you loose." I puts on a smile that says sucks to be you and says, "sucks to suck." I knew it.
I jab his chest, "so predictable." I laugh. He takes a cigarette from a box that sat on the blanket and lights it. I stay seated beside him trying not to take in the fumes.
I watch him inhale and exhale the tar and I didn't think he could get anymore attractive but oh my days- I could watch him all day. "Can I help you?" He grins, catching my stare. I grow conscious and start shuffling around the blanket feeling awkward. I play with individual pieces of sand in-front of me, "nothing- nothing at all." I pick the sand up like salt.
He's still looking at me. "Can I help you?" I resort using the same tone he did before. He tilts his head back with more prominent dimples "I like seeing you nervous. Especially when I do it."
"You do not make me nervous, Starkey." I scoff.
He puts his cigarette out into the sand. "Hm, wanna bet?" He leans back on his arm, facing me. "That depends... what happens if I loose."
"When you do loose" he corrects me, sitting up again, "you have to go on another date with me."
"Is that my punishment? A date with you?" I ask, "could it get any worse!" He laughs at my sarcastic tone. "Is that all you got Starkey," I say almost as a purr. His cheeks flush. Hmm what can I do with this.
I tilt my head to get a better angle of him. His sharp jaw line, his green eyes and don't get me started on toned arms because I won't shut up. I crawl forward a straddle his legs.
I angle my head downwards into his ear "come on Drew" I drag soft kisses down his neck down to his collar bone "... use your words." I trace my hand down to his crotch "or are you too nervous?" I hint. His breathes grow longer and I think that answers my question. "I win."
I sit aside him again pleased with myself. He scoffs, turning his head to face me, he just looks shocked I did that. I'm shocked I did that. He does make me nervous, yet, I did that. "Pfft, no, that was nothing..." he tries to play it off. I giggle and start to pick up my things as it was getting late and we had to be up early to film.
I glance to his area and pointed to it "it's telling me different." He looks at it and when he realises what I meant by the hard on he had, he covers it with his hands before giving me the side eye. I giggle.
Shortly after, he stands keeping his hands in front of his groin, I hold in a laugh. "We should do this again, it was fun, despite the little stunt you pulled." He nods his head to the issue. I throw my arms around his neck, going onto my tippy toes, "yeah, it was fun wasn't it." He smiles.
I keep the kiss PG at first but it's Drew, we can't resist. "See you in 5 hours" Drew taunts, he knows I hate waking up early. I groan loudly, "fuck no." We walk to his truck and I hear his snicker. "Welcome to show buis, next thing ya' know we'll be doing all nighters, again."
I throw myself into his car "your joking." I hope he's joking. "It's only happened once, so, I doubt it." I thank god. "Only happens if we forget our lines or props break so with as clumsy as you I think we'll be having a few nights on set." He smiles cheekily.
It's 5AM and it took 2 coffees and Madelyn to drag me out the apartment to go to set. "Okay fold your shorts." My dresser tells me. "What? Your the dresser, you do it, I'll fuck it up." I insist. "It needs to look like your character has done it as she got ready in the morning it doesn't have to be perfect."
I fold the bottom of both sides of my denim shorts. "Like this?" She looks skeptical, "hold on I'm a kook girl, you do it." I joke. But I have a point so she does fix up the shit job I did.
I hear a whistle, complementing me. It's Drew. I walk towards him excited to see him, even though I saw him 5 hours earlier, but even if I'm not a morning person I could use a morning hug. "What the fuck." I jump out of the hug.
"Sup Rudy." Drew greets, casually. The boy stays confused and his finger moves between us, pointedly. "What's this?" Drew looks at me like he's asking for permission, I nod. "Were... seeing each other, kind of." He explains.
"WHAT!"
"On set!" I hear a director say. I begin to make my way but behind me I hear a chorus of questions about my and Drew but he keeps his zip closed.
"Okay, Drew! Skyler!" He calls us over. "Have you read scene 4 for episode 3 yet?" He asks. "I have." Drew says and I agree with him. "We'll we're moving it to today." WHAT.
"But I-"
"I'm sorry but we've had a set change." He tries to make better. It doesn't. He walks away and I stare at the floor in ore. "What's the problem."
"I just didn't mentally prepare myself to cry my heart out." I really hadn't, and with the amount of sleep I had, I wasn't going to be fake crying. "It'll be fine, promise."
Fuck. My. Life.
