I WAS FINALLY STARTING to feel better. I was grateful for Theo. Even though he has done bad things, I'm grateful for him and that he saved my life. He had come to visit multiple times but avoided coming here when Stiles or Scott was here. He did it once, and I know it was to piss them off and I think it worked with Stiles because he really didn't like that.

Theo shot up from his seat and I watched as he focused on something.

I look at him strangely. "What's wrong?" I asked.

He then looks at me. I could tell he was worried, but he pretended to be okay. "They've brought multiple dead bodies that were found near a substation." He said. He paused as he listened again. "They brought in 23 bodies."

My heart dropped. Then I got really lucky considering that I didn't die. Would it come back after me?

"Your cousin just got here." He said. "I have to go." He said then left the room.

I moved a bit to adjust myself as my back was hurting from having the bed lifted up a bit. I then groaned in pain. I looked down at the bandage again and saw blood on it. Damnit, it's the third time they've had to change it today. They've already done some stitches but some of them keep breaking.

The room door opened, and Noah walked in, followed by Stiles. "How are you feeling?" He asked

I shrugged, "Better." A couple of images flashed in my mind about two days ago and I tried not to shudder as my mind went back to what had happened. "Just a bit traumatized."

Stiles smiled, but I could see the sadness on his face. "It'll get better, trust me."

I hope it does.

Theo and my uncle only have been the two people visiting the most. Stiles kept me updated on stuff, but it made me feel left out. Made me feel how I felt back in New Jersey. Friends, but not actually there for you. And once again, Theo still showed up at my side.

But I know that Stiles and Scott are really focused and busy with the whole Beast thing and bringing back the pack together. Scott apparently had found the place where the Dread Doctors had worked on the teenagers, but I didn't mention it to Theo. I haven't really mentioned anything that I knew from Scott and Stiles...I couldn't really trust Theo yet. But I haven't told anything to Stiles about what Theo told me so far unless it was important.

I sighed. I will be released from the hospital this afternoon and will be able to go back to my normal-ish life. The doctors told me to avoid any sports for the next few months. Everything is steady and the stitches are pretty stable so there's no reason to keep me here anymore. They still do want to keep track of the wound, so I'll have to come every week and then they will reduce it gradually.

I glanced over at Theo who was peacefully sleeping on the rest chair. He looked so calm and innocent. He told me that he went to help Malia find her mom, the Desert wolf...something like that. I don't know how Scott would feel about that. And honestly, I don't like the fact they've been hanging out a lot, but that's just, somehow, jealousy? Or maybe it's also the fact that Theo is the only real friend I've had growing up and I don't want to lose him.

"I can smell your mind running," Theo said and I sightly jumped and winced in pain. I looked at him. "The chemicals. I can tell your thinking."

"Oh...Just worried about the Beast." I half lied, trying to keep my heart steady.

As much as I appreciate Theo, I just kept trying to remember what he has done so far. Got a brain-dead Lydia, thought he killed Scott, left my uncle injured. Sometimes I think he does all these things, but deep down, he cares...I think?

I've seen him care for people before, I've seen him being a selfish egocentric bastard too, but deep down, he's just someone who grew up without a family...even after what happened with his sister. But, maybe they got into his head and that's why he's done it?

I don't know.

"What?" Theo asked as he came to stand up beside my bed.

I shook my head, "I don't understand you, Theo." I whispered. "All the things you've done. At times, it seems like you care and other times, it seems like you don't care about anyone but you."

His eyes softened for a second, barely a second, but I saw it. He opened his mouth to say something, but Dr. Geyer walked in.

"Good news." He said with a smile, "You're free to go. Just before you go, we just have to check a few things." Then he glanced at Theo and Theo nodded and then left the room.

Stiles and I walked into Scott's house and saw that Kira, Liam, and Malia were already there.

"Brought in a survivor," Stiles said somewhat jokingly as we walked into the kitchen. Scott smiled and Malia came toward me to give me a gentle hug.

"Just seen him today." She said and I frowned. "The Beast. We rescued Deaton and the Beast had shown up."

My eyes widened. So, it still out there attacking people randomly. We all walked over to the table and Scott just watched us silently with a smile. He then looked at Liam and they both gave each other a nod. So happy to see them back together. That kid looks up at Scott, it's unbelievable.

I noticed a book that he was holding and then placed it on top of a blueprint of Eichen house. It says 'Eichen Security Log'. Stiles dropped a security badge that he had stolen when he went to visit Lydia yesterday.

I smiled. We're getting the last person that we're missing.

Lydia.
