𝕿he Royal announcer read out the letter as Empress Adaliah got up in rage "This is outrageous do they take us for fools?" She spat in anger.
"Asking for citizens to bond with or start a new beginning with both realms again I completely Agree with, but asking Her Royal highness to come along she will not".
Azura, the daughter of the empress, and crowned princess of the dark realm stood before her mother, as her smile faded from her cherry lips.
"But mother-" She tried to reason with her mother, but the empress refused to listen to The princess.
In a fit of rage Azura got up and excused herself, before storming out of her soon to be throne room. The princess just couldn't take it anymore, She got on her horse and rode away from the main palace, her midnight waist length hair flowing with the wind.
Finally, she stopped at her favorite spot at the edge of the cliff far from the castle. With the wind blowing her locks and her crystal eyes set on the dark clouded view before her, she petted her best companion. A basilisk that her brother, Prince Azazel had gotten for her on her 10th birthday.
She closed her eyes as she felt a pair of familiar arms warp around her.
"I knew You'd be here" He said as he raised her up and kissed her forehead "Are you okay?" He asked sincerely. Aiken, the princess's lover stared into her glossy orbs. The question rang in her mind, and if she were being honest, she wasn't okay. She was sick and tired of her mother telling her what to do. She waned to be herself, she wanted to ride away to a foreign land and explore without the weight of responsibilities and the title of crowned princess weighing her down. All azura wanted was to be let loose, but she felt trapped under her mother's gaze.
"I'm fine" she replied taking his hands. She didn't want to bother him with her problems. She got up and smiled as Aiken brought out her bow and arrow, archery being her favourite pastime.
"I just wish I could go" She said as she shot her fifth arrow in a row.
"BULLSEYE!" Aiken exclaimed as she grinned and he continued.
"I know you do love, but i have to agree with your mothet on this" he confessed. She looks at him dissapointed.
"'Going to different kingdoms or states is one thing, but going to a realm where your entire exsistence is hated is dangerous, I agree, it would be a lot of fun but the risks are a much more than the adventure" Aiken explained. She hummed in reply "I know It's dangerous and risky, but I just wish mother could atleast talk to me like we used to, not just jump into silly arguments" She sighed as Aiken placed her head on his shoulder.
"It will be okay zura" he whispers into her ear leaving a kiss on her head.
Meanwhile at the Dark Palace, The empress was worried where her daughter was as her husband, Emperor Zane tried to calm her down
"Darling, stop it you're scaring me, she'll be back soon You just have to be patient okay?" The Emperor said to his anxious wife.
"Well she is your daughter, always running.." she murmured looking out the window gazing at her foggy kingdom as the emperor laughed.
"I just don't understand why she won't just talk to me" Adaliah said as Zane placed a hand on her shoulder "Well have you ever considered talking to her as her mother and not as Empress Adaliah?" He asked "What are you saying now Zane" She sighed as she sat back on the throne and placed her hand on her forehead in annoyance. "I'm saying, put aside the crowns, the position. Talk to her like Adaliah would to her daughter not the empress to the crowned princess" Zane says reassuringly as Adaliah nodded in reply and Zane kissed her, leaving her in the throne room with her thoughts.
