The palace remained busy even without the presence of its queen. The people in the Cyrus palace, royals and workers alike, were always known to always be up to something. And Azura being its newest visitor decided to also find a way to keep herself busy in the absence of her newly found friends.

Azura began her journey at the royal library. Although her active and sporty nature, she sometimes enjoyed burying her nose in a good book for hours on end, and today happened to be one of the days she felt up to the task

"The Great Goundy" she read aloud, amethyst eyes scanning the unique cover. She had never seen this book before, so it had to be a book based in the light realm which were heavily banned in the dark realm.

Only then did she realise that she was surrounded by a vast world of literature which would never have been able to cross her path had she not decided to come here. The excitement drove her to a book hunting frenzy, and before she knew it, her arms were a pedestal to a tower of books.

Making her way to a nearby reading table, although unable to see through the stack of books in her hand. Every shaky step led her closer and closer to the table until...

"CRAP!" she exclaims exasperated at herself as her tower came crumbling down. She looked pitifully at the pile of books surrounding her that will take nothing less than forever to pick up.

"Might I be of any assistance to the future empress?" a deep voice asks just inches above her. She looks up to meet none other than the arrogantly sarcastic, grey eyed prince himself.

"Prince Aiden..." she greets as she looks away adjusting her gown "...fancy seeing you here"
"I must say so myself, I assumed you were more of the archery or pega- or shall I say, 'basilik' riding type of lady" he replied just as she described. Arrogantly sarcastic.

"Well, if you must know, a lady can have multiple interests..." she says refusing to look him in the eye. "...now if you will excuse me" she added crouching onto the floor to begin picking up the books she had previously fallen.

"No no please princess Azura let me- "
"No it's fine I can- "

"please I insis-"

"Prince Aiden- "

"Princess Azura- "

Unintentionally they called each other's names at the same time, as their opposite-shaded eyes met. The dark witch didn't understand what happened to her at that very moment, but all she knew was something in those cloudy grey eyes were pulling her in. A soft but stable hum rang from within him, cooing into her very being shattering the wall she had so desperately tried to build between them. It was to no surprise the prince was confused by her snarky behaviour towards him, and in all honesty she didn't intend to hurt him, but after what happened in Arpina's office that day; What she said, how she acted, what he in turn said to her and what they undoubtedly both felt, she told herself that it could never happen again.

No matter how much her daring nature wanted her to, she couldn't lie to herself that anything romantic could exist between a prince of a kingdom in the light realm and the future empress of the dark realm in its entirety. It simply couldn't be, even if they wanted it to be, it couldn't.

"I... uh..." Aiden began. His eyes couldn't help but drift from Azura's plump pink lips to her amethyst eyes.

"Aiden..." she said assertively lifting herself and a few books from the floor. "Thank you but please, I can handle it myself" she added collecting the remainder of the books from his arms, turning away from him and making her way to a table in the far corner. Away from the center of the library which she once stood, and most importantly away from Aiden.
