The Lost Ones

Chapter 1

I looked out the window and saw the sky. The colors blended together in the sky. I looked at the time an hour had passed. With a sigh, I move from the window and start grabbing things from my drawers and putting them into boxes. I went to the restroom to pack some stuff, when I caught myself in the mirror, I saw someone I could not recognize. I lifted my shirt and saw the tattoo which said Property of Griffin #001.

"Raven! Time to come down for breakfast!" My mom yelled from downstairs.

"Okay, I'll be down in a second!" I yelled back. I put my shirt back down and made my way downstairs.

"We better finish packing soon because we have a flight to catch tomorrow." Mom said

"Why are we moving again?" I asked

"I got promoted," She said

"Right," I say.

"Maybe you can make friends there. Instead of talking to the one online." She said,

"The ones online is just fine. I know they have my back." I tell her.

"I think it would be better if you found friends in person and not ones you talk to through a screen," she said.

"And here we go again," I say to myself as I take another bite of my food.

"Don't you think that it would be better to make memories with people you can see face to face? I mean I think it would be better for you in the long run. I just don't want you to regret anything or get hurt. " she said.

"I can get hurt anywhere I go even if I knew the person for years. Anyway, I still have some packing to do so I will leave first." I make my way upstairs and see my room is almost empty. Feels naked.

PING!

I heard something go off. I looked at my phone and new notification. I then looked at my laptop and saw the group chat coming to life.

Tyson:
Nobody is talking. Are y'all dead?

Abby:
Good morning to you too.

Tyson:
OMG someone is alive

Katherine:
Tyson, it's 8 in the morning

Tyson:
That is still odd when all of us get up at the ass crack of dawn.
My point still stands.

Abby:
Awe do you care for us Ty

Tyson:
Why do I talk to you guys?

Katherine:
Because you love us.

Tyson:
Where is the nearest cliff?

Ash:
Alright kids that's enough

Abby:
Mama Ash coming in hot everyone watch out.

Ash:
How many times do I have to tell you to not call me that

Abby:
Till I die

Next question.

Ash:
We live together. I hope you realize that I can go over there and kick your ass.

Abby:
Raven! Ash is being mean to me.

Me:
Good to know nothing has changed.

Ash:
What is that supposed to mean?

Katherine:
Are we about to fight?

Abby:
Is that supposed to be an insult?

Tyson:
What the fuck is that supposed to mean?

Me:
You all still act like children when I am the youngest here.

Tyson:
Fight me!

Me:
You know I will win.

Tyson:
Try me!

I laughed at the conversation.

"RAVEN I'M GOING TO WORK" my mom shouted from across the house.

"OKAY, BYE" I yelled back.

I went around my room and saw if there was anything I forgot to pack. I remembered the box under my bed. It has everything that I was able to find that proved everything happened. Katherine made the watches. This helped us keep in contact after all these years.

I looked under my bed and found my dad's lighter. I flicked it on and off a few times.

"Where are you?" I asked myself.

I got up and continued packing till the sunset. Tomorrow is the day I go to South Korea.

I go downstairs and eat something. I watch some videos online and get ready for bed. I lay down and drifted off to sleep.
