The Lost Ones

Chapter 10

I walked upstairs only to remember that mom wanted to talk to me when I got home. I walked into my room and put my stuff away. I layed on my bed for a while till mom walked into my room and closed the door behind her. She walked over to me and sat down next to me. 

“What’s up?” I asked sitting up. 

“How are you doing honey?” Mom asked.

" I know you better than that. What's going on?" I asked, looking at her.

" I wanted to see how you're doing. I know this move has been hard on you. " She said.

" What has been hard is being kept in the dark. The fact I didn't know anything till the last second. " I say.

"I know hunny but things have been so hard as of late. I tried to tell you but something always came up. I really did try." She said, trying to comfort me.

"I get it but I didn't even know you had a boyfriend let alone a fiance. You had the whole ride to tell me and you didn't. That is what is making this frustrating. I have brothers now. No warning, no nothing." I said.

"I know I'm sorry. That I didn’t tell you anything.” mom said and gave me a hug. 

“I don't like surprises and this was a really big surprise." I say.

"Look I said I was sorry" Mom said.

"Yes but I'm frustrated with all of this." I say putting my head in my hands. 

"It shouldn't be too much longer, you'll get used to it here and love your new family." She said,

"Sure" I said not wanting to continue knowing everything I say will go in one ear and out the other. 

"Oh the party is in 5 days and it is a masquerade party so we will go dress shopping soon." Mom said as she got up and walked to the door. "Love you" she said, turning to me and walked out.

I layed back on my bed and looked at the ceiling. With a sigh then sit up and do my homework. After a while I go downstairs to get a snack. I went into the kitchen and saw Park Jae on with Jungkook's shirt getting something out of the fridge. She turned around and we froze looking at each other. 

"Uh…hi" I said and waved at her. 

"Hi?" Jae said and ate a strawberry. "What are you doing here?" She asked, confused.

"Ah that, yeah, I am their stepsister and I just wanted some chips." I said and walked over to a cabinet. “Where is Jungkook?” 

"He is sleeping." she said. It was awkward and quiet. 

"Yeah just don't tell anyone in school or they will have my head." I said and grabbed a few snacks. I walked back to the stairs. 

"Wait!" Jae said, catching up to me. "I don't really have friends so can we start over?" She asked.

"Raven Smith" I say held my hand out for her to shake. 

"Jae Park, it's nice to meet you."She said with a smile.

I then continued to walk up the stairs till I stopped in my tracks and turned to her. 

"Would you like to come with me?" I asked and her eyes lit up.

"Sure" she said and we walked to my room. 

I closed the door behind us.

"Would you like some clothes?" I asked. "Or at least pants?" I say.

"Yeah that would be nice." She said, I walked over to a drawer and pulled out some sweats that were big on me. 

"Here, try these." I said and handed her the clothing. 

She put them on and they fit fairly well. 

"Why don't we watch a movie?" I asked. 

“Sure what  do you have?” Jae asked. 

We were halfway watching a movie. Then my door burst open. I looked and saw Jungkook standing there like a rabid animal. Jae and I looked at eachother confused and back at him. 

We made eye contact and my fight or flight kicked in. 

“What is she doing here with you?” Jungkook asked. 

“You were asleep and she was bored so I invited her to watch a movie with me.” I say. “Want some?” I said and held out a bug of chips. 

“Yeah, want to join?” Jae asked. Jungkook.

Jungkook walked over to us on the bed. 

“Oh he might join.” I was quite surprised. 

Only for him to take the bag of chips out of my hands and pour them on my head. I just sat there and waited for the bag to empty. I just nodded.

“Dude, I have to clean this now.” I said looking down at all the chips on the bed. 

“I don’t care. Jae come on let's get away from this worthless piece of shit” Jungkook said. 

“Ouch” I said pretending to be hurt and putting my hands on my chest.

Jungkook grabbed Jae’s wrist and took her out of my room. Jae looked back at me and waved bye to me and I waved back.

“Great.” I said looking at the mess. 

I start to clean everything up and put my sheets to wash. When I placed the sheets back on the bed I took a quick shower to get the crumbs out of my hair. I got out of the shower and turned off all the lights. I made it as dark as I could. When I gave up I layed down on my now clean bed. I closed my eyes trying to relax. I hear my door creek open and I hear a coller make its way closer to me. I opened my eyes and saw Yeontan at the bottom of my bed.

“You should go to your dad.” I say. “Go go.” Yeontan just sat there and looked at me as if I was stuipd. 

I laid back down on my bed. I closed my eyes and got comfortable till I felt a weight plop on my bed. I looked and saw Yeontan on my bed and was making his way to the pillows. He walked till we were face to face and looking at each other. He took a step forward and licked my face. I grabbed my phone and called Taehyung. 

“What do you want?” Tae answered in a harsh tone. 

“Your dog is in my room and doesn't want to leave.” I say in a tired tone. 

“Did you dognapped my dog?” Tae asked. 

“What? No he came in here and I told him to leave because you would freak out. Now I am paying the price.” I said and looked over to the dog and saw him curl into a ball on the pillow next to me. “So unless you're okay with him being with me, come get him.” I say. 

“I can’t do that. I’m not home right now.” Tae said. 

“When you get home he will be right here. I won't do anything I swear no need to worry” I say. 

“I swear if there is one fur missing from his pretty little head, '' Tae said, codly and threateningly. 

“You’ll have my head. I know. That's all I’m hanging up” I say and hug up.

“Guess it’s just you and me for a while.” I layed back down and felt Yeontan snuggle next to me. 

Taehyung pov. 

I swear if something happens to that dog. 

Jin and I just got back from a mission. It was 12 in the morning. I immediately walked over to Raven's room. I opened the door and turned on my flashlight. I made my way over to the bed. I saw Raven and Yeontan sleeping soundly. I looked at Raven and saw she had short hair that didn’t even cover her whole face. Half was white and the other half was black.

I didn’t think much of it. I just got Yeontan and went into my room. When I got there I looked over at him and saw there were no injuries. I looked at his face and he was giving me a what the fuck I was sleeping face. I put him down on my bed and changed into something comfortable. 

“I still don’t trust her”
