The Lost Ones

Chapter 18

I didn’t get any sleep last night as you could imagine. I sat up on my bed and walked over to my restroom and looked at the mirror. I looked horrible and I had a really bad cough. I took a few cough drops hoping that will help. I got back into my room and started to get dressed. I grabbed my shoes and backpack. I walked downstairs and put on my shoes. I saw everyone in the dining room doing whatever they were doing. 

“Raven, come get something to eat.” Mom yelled from the dining room. 

“I’m not really hungry,” I said. 

“Okay kids, time to go. Oh and remember we are coming home late today!” Mom yelled looking at the clock. 

I got up from my spot and made my way over to the garage where the car was. I am the first one there and get inside the car. I sit in my normal spot in the back and watch the others get into the car. Everyone was in the car and the air felt thick. I laid my head on the window as I looked outside. I felt someone burning a hole into the side of my head. I looked over and saw it was Jungkook. I ignored him and went back to listening to music. We reached my stop and I was dropped off. 

I walked to school and saw my brothers were not there. I walked inside and saw a girl getting harassed by 3 boys. Seems as if I'm really early due to no one being in the halls yet. I walked over to where they were. 

“Hey! What do you think you're doing?” I asked. They ignored me and continued to harass the poor girl. “You better leave her alone.” I said looking at them. 

“Or what?” idot #1 asked. 

“Trust me you want to step away from her.” I said in a threatening tone. 

“What are you going to do about it?” Idot #1 asked again and then pushed my forehead with his finger. 

I grabbed his arm and twisted it and grabbed his wrist breaking it. He began screaming in pain and I looked at the other two. They looked at each other and idot #1. They decided to grab their friend and walk away. I looked at the girl and saw she was crying. 

“Hey are you okay?” I asked her if she only nodded her head. “Okay well if they do something again do this.” I said and grabbed her hand. “You are going to want to use this part of your palm” I said pointing at the lower part. “And what you're going to want to do is bring it up as fast and hard as you can.” I said bringing her palm up making sure the bottom part of the palm would hit its mark. “This is going to break their nose. Their eyes are going to water, making them blind for a moment. You can use that to run” I said. She nodded her head. “Try it I said” She brought her palm up as fast and hard as she could. “That's good. Now remember that for when something like that happened.” I said and she nodded her head.

I walked away and went to one of my classes and laid my head in my arms.

Classes passed by one by one. It was lunch time and I went to the cafeteria to get something to eat. I grabbed a sandwich and sat outside at the tree I normally sit at. I closed my eyes until I felt a present next to me. I opened my eyes and saw Jae. 

“Hey, what are you doing here? I thought you would be with your boyfriend” I say. 

“I wanted to hang out with you,” Jae said as she sat down next to me. 

“I hope, you know he doesn't like me very much.” I said looking at her. 

“Well he is going to have to get through me first. If anything I am going to have a talk with him. He can’t keep me away from my bestie.” Jae said with a smile.

I took a bite out of my food with a small smile on my face. 

“So I was thinking, I can come over to your house and we can hangout for a bit,” Jae said.
