Ophelia's POV

For a while, I had both my momma and my daddy here with me. I lived a relatively normal life from the time I was born til right when I turned 18. When I turned 18, my parents informed me that I was a werewolf. I knew this already. Why you may ask? Well one day in school I was fixing my makeup and saw my eyes shift from the greenish brown color they are to a amber color. When I finally got around to researching what this was about, I saw that werewolf's have the ability to shift their eyes from the normal color they appear to amber color or yellow. This is identical to what my eyes began to do. Then after I turned 18 and my family told me about this, my momma was killed in a accident. The drive that killed her was texting and driving. I was beyond pissed off at the entire world but my daddy told me that with me being this angry, wouldn't be good for anyone. He got me to calm down. Over the years my father told me that the moon goddess gives everyone a mate. Now you have the ability to accept whoever is you mate, or you can reject them. If you go on to accept them, you'll mate, get married and have pups. But if you mate rejects you and you don't accept, she will either find you a new mate over time or you will die. I know I want to find my mate. But the only way to find them is you will smell a scent that is unique to you, and no two wolves have the same scent. Then just over two weeks ago, my father was killed in a drug deal gone horribly wrong. They killed my father, took the drugs and all his money he had one him. Thanks to someone, I am what I call myself a orphan.  I hardly have any friends. I go to work, come home and sleep. I keep to myself and inside my bubble. This way nobody can harm me in anyway. Downside with me doing this, I will never find out who my mate is if I keep myself isolated from the entire world.

Today I am out going grocery shopping and shopping for some new clothes, when I see a sight for sore eyes. I see a girl I went to school with named Cyndi. I went to school with Cyndi. We never truly gotten to know each other, other than she was picked up every day by body guards. I'm guessing her family is something very powerful.

~Cyndi~ Oh my god girl, you look amazing.

~Ophelia~ I'm trying. How is everything going with you?

~Cyndi~ Other than my brother being a disgusting fuck boy, I'm great.

~Ophelia~ Look I hate to cut you off like this, but I have a paper that's due in 3 days. I have your number I'll text you.

Your probably thinking why does this 29 year old have papers to write.? Well it happens to be for this reason of me not going to college until I was at the age 28. With losing my mom, I wanted to try and make something of myself. Nowing losing my dad just not long ago, I need to do better by me and that is exactly what I am doing here. I am majoring in animal psychology.. I am going to be studying animal behavior and how to correct them when they misbehave an awful lot. Yeah I know a wolf studying animals.

As I am going through my father's office cleaning it out to get rid of junk and donate his things to charity, I come across contracts that he had with the Quinn Mafia. Oh no no no! I read further into the contract that he borrowed money from them to the total of nearly $35 thousand dollars. The day he was killed in the drug deal gone wrong was the day he was supposed to pay them back. My father has royally fucked me over. Cyndi won't ever speak to me again. She is going to hate me. Time for me to remain unseen now..

Diego's POV

I am literally pissed off right now. Mr. Santiago is late on payment. We told him consequences would be severe if he refused to pay us. He knows he owes us this money. As I am in the kitchen, I hear my sister Cyndi walk back inside from shopping today.

~Diego~ Hey where have you been all day?

~Cyndi~ I went shopping for clothes for the summer. Jeans and T-shirt's won't cut it.

~Diego~ Yeah sure.

~Cyndi~ Alright your being more of a dick than usual. What's going on?

~Diego~ The man who owes us money hasn't paid us in two weeks...

~Cyndi~ Who is it?

~Diego~ Mr. Santiago, why?

~Cyndi~ Has Dante pulled any of his banking records or anything?

~Diego~ No. He would go under the radar in order to not get caught. He would pay cash for most of anything.

~Cyndi~ Damn I don't know what else to tell you.

She leaves and heads up to her bed room. She's is right Dante and Carlo need to watch his residence and monitor his banking situation. There has to be something to show us where he is a located.

Cyndi's POV

This isn't good. I couldn't let my brother know that I know who the Santiago's are. I won't allow Ophelia to be subjected to his asshole ways. Ophelia hasn't said anything about her family in over a year. I haven't seen her father in a while. I have to be careful but I need to warn her about my brother and his friends looking for her. Ophelia didn't borrow this money. Her father did. This isn't her fault at all but knowing Diego he is going to blame her for more than she deserves to be blamed. I begin to research databases for anything involving the Santiago's and what I find out is that Mr. Santiago is dead. Killed in a drug deal gone wrong. He borrowed this money to feed his nasty habit. Poor Ophelia. She is basically an orphan now. I have to help her.
