Baby brother found....

Dante's POV

I went out on my date last night with someone I went to school with. We both lost contact with each other as her family moved away to start fresh. Why they moved away was unknown to me at the time because I was busy training within the wolf pack. But when we had our date, she told me absolutely everything. Her family's pack was destroyed by a bunch of rogue wolves. Her family was the only surviving wolves. It was for their safety and they couldn't return until that pack of wolves were gone. Come to find out that the pack of wolves that attempted to wage war on our pack was the ones who destroyed hers. I told her that my brother and our pack took them out several months back because they tried waging war on us. We had a few casualties, one being Cyndi's mate but several others were injured. We didn't lose anymore than her mate. We killed everyone who thought they could end our packs lives. She seemed relieved of this. She excused herself to the restroom and when she returned, I caught the scent of honeysuckles and Jasmine. I found her. I found my mate. She looked up at me and she obviously caught my scent. She told me I smelled like Pine and burnt Sage. I can't believe that someone I have known my entire life, is my mate. She is absolutely gorgeous. I asked her if in time I could introduce her to my pack and she said absolutely. I told her things around the pack house are insane because my brother is dealing with stupid whores and she laughed. She knows Diego is stubborn as they come. I made sure she got back to her house safely and I went home. I want to talk to Carlo and Cyndi first before I bring up my mate to Diego. They will know how he could react.

I get up the next morning and I head outside to catch some fresh air, I hear the doors open again and out steps my sister. She is eager to know how last night went, even if she won't admit it out loud.

~Dante~ Good Morning, Carlo asleep still?

~Cyndi~ No he's meeting with Diego. How'd last night go?

~Dante~ Remember my best friend from high school?

~Cyndi~ Selene?

~Dante~ Yes her. Well last night went amazing. She went to the bathroom and when she returned, I caught her scent. Honey suckles and Jasmine. She caught mine of pine and burnt sage. I found my mate finally.

~Cyndi~ Wait wasn't her pack killed off by the same pack that killed my mate?

~Dante~ Yes. Her family was the only ones that survived, so to keep them alive her family moved away. She decided to return home 3 weeks ago. I wanted to bring her around here but with what's going on with Ophelia and Diego, I didn't want yo add on anymore stress to them. But I want to introduce her to the pack as my mate.

~Cyndi~ I get it. Hopefully soon Diego gets his head out of his ass and doesn't harm Ophelia.

~Dante~ How is she doing?

~Cyndi~ Practically sleeps from dinner time til morning. She shuts down whenever anyone enter the basement chambers. She stares into space. I think she's slowly loosing her spark. Diego's ex really did a number on him and in return he's blinded by money and power, so he's doing a number on her.

~Dante~ yeah we can only hope he sees what is going on between them and he changes his mind before it's too late.

I walk inside and I see my brother sitting at the counter. Something is going on with him. I don't know what's going on with him. But I am bound and determined to figure out what is going on with him.

~Dante~ What's wrong?

~Diego~ Nothing. I couldn't sleep last night. I never have that problem before.

~Dante~ Did you sleep with a whore last night?

~Diego~ No. I worked in my office. I was making sure all other loans that were out and not paid in full have been getting payments done to them. I was in there til around midnight. Checked the cameras and made sure Ophelia was okay and she was asleep. I went to my room, had to throw Lu Lu out of it shortly after I entered it. She is going to drive me insane. I have a new mattress coming today.

~Dante~ To be honest you may have to exile them all because they aren't going to learn.

~Diego~ So how did you date go?

~Dante~ Remember Selene? When she was forced to move away because the pack that attacked ours or attempted to, killed all but her family from her pack. They stayed away until they knew for sure that the rival was gone. Also she is my mate.

~Diego~ Wow that's good news brother. Congratulations. I may need you, Carlo and Cyndi here when I go to exile the whores. They won't go without a fight. I have other shit to handle though.

He gets up and heads to his office. I just hope that the whöres back down. That is the main reason I am scared to bring Selene around the pack house. The whores are relentless. They think the pack members with ranking are strictly theirs. We aren't. They are there for whoever wants or needs to get laid. That's it. I can see my brother is battling his mind over Ophelia. Let's hope everything is okay with them.

Ophelia's POV

I have been here in the basement for what I am guessing is near a month now. I have been staring at the walls and nothing more. I'm trapped down here because of my father's selfishness in drug use. It left me in debt and I never knew. He never had the money inside our house. I gave him money because he said he needed to pay some bills. But it was to further his drug habit. I feel stupid. Thankfully Cyndi has been bringing me meals down here to make sure I have been fed. When I first got here, I felt the pain of betrayal because he was having relations with a pack whöre. It went on for days now and the pain at first got worse but then I slowly gotten used to it. But now I'm sleeping a lot more. I wasn't sure about it but I chalked it up to me being near my mate and him not wanting to be near me. Maybe I am unlovable after all? Maybe me being tired is payback from the moon goddess for not being able to be with two mates she had for me. This is most likely my fault after all...
