Cleaning House

Ophelia's POV

It has been a week since Diego told those pack members that they needed to begin picking up after themselves. The first two days after the talking to, they did help clean up around the pack house but then after that there wasn't much help since then. I have had to spend 90% of my day cleaning and I'm not having any time alone with Diego and he sees this himself. He isn't happy about it at all. He has asked them to help out around the house and they have said they will and they don't. He has asked them to help with the yard work and it's mainly myself and the ladies helping out cleaning. It isn't fair to anyone else who does their fair share of cleaning.

But today I am working on planting new plants in the pack house flowerbeds, when I hear the door open and I see the two ladies walking outside. I know they are going to start something with me. But little do they know, Diego is also outside working on removing all the old plants for me so I'm not out here entirely too long. I glance up and I go back to working on planting some marigolds and petunias.

~Lady1~ Wow ignoring us now...

~Lady2~ She knows she isn't worthy of being our Luna and Queen.

~Lady1~ She definitely isn't my Luna one bit. I don't trust her either. She thinks because she is Diego's mate she has more reign over the house... Diego isn't even here today.

~Ophelia~ You think he has left me here alone? You are seriously mistaken. He knows you two and your mates don't approve of me. Well I don't need your approval at all. I love Diego and I know for fact he loves me.

~Lady2~ Diego never wanted to find a new mate after his last one....

Diego has heard enough. I heard him growling because they are not only disrespecting me but they are disrespecting him as well. I mind linked him and tell him to calm please. But as he rounds the house, Lady 1 dumps her hot coffee on my head sending me into a screaming fit because I'm being burnt. Diego screams for Dante and Selene to get outside. Carlo and Cyndi are livid. They restrain both Lady 1 and 2 from running away from Diego. I can't remember much of anything but I remember Diego taking me to the hospital wing of the house. Diego gives me a kiss and informs me that he is going to handle those four extreme problems we have within our pack. He means business. The pack doctor puts me under sedation and I drift off to a peaceful sleep.

Diego's POV

I was outside with my queen working on our house flower beds, when I heard the two mates of my members being disrespecting our relationship. What sends me over the edge is when I hear my mate screaming bloody murder because she had something harmful done to her. That lady dumped a hot drink on her head. I immediately dropped anything I was doing and called for everyone I could trust to come help me. My sister, Cyndi and Beta, Carlo immediately restrain the two ladies. Dante and Selene are waiting in the hospital wing on word from the doctor about Ophelia. Why would they not take to my warning?? Ophelia never harmed or disrespected anyone here. She always made sure all the members and mates had whatever they needed and she didn't mind occasionally helping out on housework but she didn't want to do it all the time. Now I am here confronting my members and their mates.

~Diego~ I shouldn't even be here but I am because your fucking mates have decided to harm my fucking mate for doing what I have fucking asked of y'all to do. Those two ladies have been making her life hell since day one nearly and it stops today. Pack your shit you four are no longer members of my pack! Get out.

~Member 1~ She came in here like she owned this place even before you brought her upstairs to save her.

~Diego~ She didn't. She shut down before she came up here. Your pissed because y'all don't have a place of authority over my members and frankly none of y'all ever will. So instead of me sitting with my queen and Luna, I'm here arguing with the bunch of you while Ophelia is fighting for her life. If you four are still here when I get back from checking on her, I will destroy you four with my bare hands. Understand me?

~Lady 1~ She isn't that pretty...

~Diego~ Her soul is 10 times more prettier than you could ever imagine being. I mean it, I will end you all. She never deserved the treatment you guys gave her. Get out of here NOW!!

I slam the front door shut and run down to the basement where the hospital wing is located. Dante and Selene are sitting there worried. We know it's not our faults but we are going to still blame ourselves because we didn't kick them out sooner. Carlo and Cyndi come downstairs and tell us that the terrible four are gone and out of our house. Good. I will be informing the elders of their behavior to warn other packs as well.

An hour or so has passed and the doctor has informed us that thanks to our quick acting and her shaking off the access of the hot liquid off her head and scalp. She may have some scaring on her neck but nothing on her head. I walk into her room and kiss her head. She is the best part of me. I hope she still feels the same way about me now as I have always felt towards her. She means everything to me. I can see myself having babies with her as well as asking her to marry me. Fingers crossed she feels this way when she wakes up. Please babygirl I love you so much.
