Something is wrong

Diego's POV

I am in my office and it's been about a week since Selene came to live here with Dante. She is also a nurse. It's good for the whole entire pack to have a nurse on the premises. The whores however haven't let up. They seem to think that since they been around here a lot longer than Selene has, that they have more power to control her. But that is the furthest thing from the truth. I have though told Carlo and Dante that if the whores start anything else they are being exiled from the mafia as well as the pack. Everyone around here agrees. The whores have been nothing but problems with all of us. Cyndi is close to snapping on them and she won't take it lightly either.

Today the guys and I are out doing the errand running that the ladies normally do on the daily. Selene and Cyndi are at the house doing some cleaning and working on the flower beds around the house. Cyndi enjoys being out there doing the gardening. But I could tell something is bothering her deeply but she doesn't want to talk about it to me right now. I'm not sure if it is dealing with her friend in the basement or if it's dealing with her and Carlo. But I'm going to ask them today while we are out shopping.

~Diego~ Carlo is Cyndi okay? She has seemed more on edge today.

~ Carlo~ I have noticed that myself. She hasn't mentioned anything to me but I do know that she and Selene are close now so maybe they'll talk about it today since we aren't there.

~Dante~ You are right, I know Selene is worried about the whores because they have made snide comments towards her about her looks and some other things that none of us have heard. But nothing serious...

~Diego~ Okay. I think it maybe about the basement. I have noticed she is sleeping alot more lately. I have gone down there and checked on her, she's sleeping. But Cyndi said she told her she was tired.

~Dante~ Well we have a nurse around the house now. Maybe it could do all of us some good to have Selene check over Ophelia when we get back to make sure everything is okay with her. Worse case is something is wrong with her now, best case is that she's just tired...

I am hoping that nothing is truly wrong with Ophelia. I get I rejected her but that doesn't mean that I wanted something horrible to happen. I honestly don't get why I am starting to feel this way either. Maybe it's a good thing to have her looked over. As I turn back around to face the guys, they both look at me like I'm stupid. I'm not sure why either.

~Diego~ What's wrong ?

~Dante~ Do you seriously want to play dumb with us. I'm not trying to disrespect you at all but come on the two of us know you a lot better than you know yourself.

~Carlo~ I get what's her face did damage to your heart by cheating on you with that douche bag, but that doesn't mean every single woman out there is going to do the same thing. Do you know anything about Ophelia other than what happened with her dad?

~Diego~ What else has happened to her?

~Carlo~ Before she even knew her father was as far in debt, she was dating this one guy, he pretended that he was her mate. He wasn't. Come to find out he introduced her father to the drugs. He was the one who shot and killed her father with a silver bullet. That's why Ophelia was packing up when we took her and brought her back to the pack house. She was done wrong just like you were. Granted her situation is different from Cyndi's but I believe that is why Cyndi was as pissed off as she was when you first had her here. So please for us, allow Selene to make sure she's okay.

~Diego~ Fine I will. I will tell Selene as soon as we get back to the house.

I seriously hope it's nothing serious.

We arrive home and have all the groceries inside when the ladies, Selene and Cyndi walk in from the backyard.  It's now or never.

~Diego~ Hey Selene I have a huge favor to ask of you?

~Selene~ Okay sure what's going on?

~Diego~ Can you please go downstairs and give Ophelia a check over please? She's sleeping a lot more than normal and I'll admit it has me a bit worried.

~Selene~ Sure I will go downstairs with Cyndi once I get cleaned up. Please none of y'all downstairs in case she is just ignoring you. Okay?

~Diego~ Thank you! I appreciate it.

Cyndi and Selene head to their bathrooms to get cleaned up. I know they can tell I am scared that she isn't well. I'm not used to ever feeling this way. The whores come back from their rooms and are staring at me. Nope not today satan. Not today!

~Selene~ We are heading downstairs now. We'll be back up shortly.

~Lu Lu~ Why the fück is this bitch going downstairs? You told us nobody is allowed down there.

~Selene~ Because Alpha asked me to give the lady downstairs a check over. I'm a fucking nurse. Continue to call me a bitch and I'll fuck your shit up even alpha won't save you. I've had it since I got here.

~Dante~ Baby I'll handle them. I love you. Go check on her okay?

I knew it. I knew Selene was going to eventually snap on them. She's right about one thing, Alpha isn't saving none of them. They head down the steps, when Lu Lu turns to me.

~Lu Lu~ I gave you pleasure for years, hell all of us had and ever since that bitch downstairs arrived here, you haven't as much as wanted to mess around anymore. The first week or so you did but now? What gives?

I move quickly in front of her. She thinks this is to kiss her or something. Nope it sure isn't. I have had it. I'm done with the whores.

~Diego~ I have had it. I'm done! I Alpha Diego Quinn of the Northstar wolf pack and King of the Quinn mafia hereby exile all whores from here. You were warned numerous times and you still disrespected all of us. You three have an hour to get out......

~Lu Lu~ Please we have nowhere to go....

~Carlo~ He said get out. He isn't helping y'all anymore.

They head upstairs to pack as Selene and Cyndi come up from the basement.

~Diego~ How is she?

~Selene~ It's not good. With her not accepting the rejection, her body is basically shutting down. She's sleeping more and more because her body is giving up.

~Diego~ Can it be stopped? I never wanted her to die.

They all turn and look at me. That's when I realize, she is my second chance. I need to fix this.

~Selene~ There is one way. Go downstairs and bring her up to your room. You need new bedding that doesn't smell like another shewolf. That would do more harm than good. You need to show you are sorry and you care. She'll slowly stop sleeping as much and she'll be mute probably. It's her way of protecting herself. Then she'll slowly talk to you. I could tell that she does care about you. She is just as scared as you are.

~Diego~ Thank you. I appreciate it.

Just as I said that the whores pack marks have erased off their bodies and claw marks appear. This will show all other packs that they have been exiled. I head into my office and I check my email. I order a new mattress and Carlo is picking it up tonight for me as well as new sheets. Cyndi went down to collect all her dirty clothes to wash them and to help her change. I feel horrible that it happened like this. She didn't deserve it at all. I will do anything to get her to forgive me. No matter how long it takes.
