Soft Spot

Chapter 10

Jerome and the rest of the boys stole a van while me and Tabitha kidnapped 7 ship workers, Tabithas training had definitely been working as I felt strong and was able to get down even the bigger ship workers with easy which surprised me. Once we had got the 7 we needed we waited in an alleyway in a secluded area till Jerome and the rest finally showed up in a white van. Me and Tabitha loaded up the 7 people in straight jackets with the help of Aaron who picked them up like they were action figures so it didn't take long till we were back on the road. Jerome and his gang were in the van driving towards Gotham Gazette while me and Tabitha drove the car we were in to a building near by to get a good look of the situation as it unfolds to keep and eye on the boys. We arrived and climbed to the rooftop of the building slightly to the right of Gotham Gazette and pulled out our binoculars looking over at its roof top. Jerome was dancing and prancing around on the rooftop when he finally appeared into view I giggled not noticing Tabitha giving me a sad look from besides me.

They had finally managed to get all the 7 workers on the rooftop who were all trembling in fear and Jerome brought out a spray can in red and started to write different letters on each person. We were told we could pick the name of our group and me and Jerome had many conversations about potential names never coming to a definite name so I was interested to see what he ends up going with. I looked at each letter trying to piece it together but couldn't figure it out so i moved my binoculars to look at the city street below. There were people everyone, we definitely picked a good day to do it I have never seen the streets so busy and the fact they were on top of Gotham Gazette means it will definitely make front page, I smiled manically knowing that this couldn't be more perfect. I heard screams which caused me to move the binoculars back to the roof to see Aaron holding letter 'M' man over the edge as Jerome directs him once we was happy Aaron dropped him. Screams were heard the whole way down until he finally hitting the ground landing on top of someone who was walking killing both instantly. "Ouuu double kill!" Myself beside me giggled causing me to giggle along.

This continued until they were all done apart from one person who was left on the roof shaking violently. There were sadly no more double kills as most people ran away from the scene in terror but I looked down and finally realised what it said 'maniax', that was one of the names I suggested and I proudly smirked before looking back at the rooftop. Jerome was obviously trying to figure out what to do with the last guy and I was wondering if he was just gonna throw him down for the fun of it but then again it's Jerome, that would ruin his plan. He finally settled for what looked like a exclamation point and ordered Aaron to bring him to the edge while Jerome jumped into his position looking down to figure out where he needs to be dropped. I will admit my heart picked up slightly as Jerome practically dangled over the edge of the building. God he better not fall. He finally gave Aaron the go and he dropped the last body the scream was a lot louder than the other bodies but it was soon silent followed by Jerome's maniacal laugh. I looked down at there master piece and brought down to look at Tabitha smirking in her binoculars looking down at the work as well before it turned into a frown. I picked my binoculars back and up and looked in the direction she was. Shit.

There seemed to be 2 or 3 cops turning up and guarding the exit from the roof where Jerome and the boys were, I wasn't too alarmed at first but then I remembered they didn't have any weapons on them so they couldn't defend themselves. I looked at Tabitha panicked and before she uttered a word I sprinted off with her following closely behind me grabbing our things quickly first. We needed to get down there and take them out quickly before more cops showed up or the boys would be toast. We scaled down the building so fast they we may as well have dropped off the edge like the 7 ship workers did, however we would survive. I was first on the ground and rounded around the corner sneaking slightly to not bring attention and I took out my gun from its holder quickly making sure it was loaded before sneaking a look around the corner. I saw two standing at the exit guns pointed with one inspecting the van, luckily there was a lot of things to hid behind so I rolled over to the abandoned couch before heading behind the tall grass and behind the van. The man had opened the back doors and was inside so I walked around it stealthily, once I finally saw Tabitha in the corner she gave me a nod so I grabbed my throwing knife from my waist and aimed it at one of the guys standing at the door Tabitha aiming her gun at the other. I drew my arm back and launched it right through his heart, this was followed by two shots from Tabitha one on the unharmed guy she then walked closer before shooting the other just making sure he was dead. I quickly walked to the back of the van and seeing the guy emerge slowly with his gun drawn towards Tabitha I turned the corner then shot him in the head, blood splatting all over my face.

Seconds later Jerome walked out with the rest confused as to why there were 3 dead cops lying down before they saw me and Tabitha standing there crossed arms smirking. Jerome laughed pointing at the dead cop in front of him before Tabitha spoke up, "We need to leave now before more arrive, come on let's go!" She ran towards where the car was parked the others running to the van all laughing and jumping in. I quickly ran to the man I threw my knife at then pulled it out before jumping into the back of the van as it was closer I banged on the side signalling I was in the back and Aaron started to drive away. I flew back from the sudden start and smacked my head on the door, "For fuck sake!" I yelled out. It was silent for a second as I groaned and rubbed my head before I heard laughter from the front. I just sulked to myself huffing as I sat there in the corner. I reached the top of my head I hissed in pain at the tenderness before looking at my hand and seeing a lot of blood. Oh great I've gone and busted my head open.
