Finally the boys came down all looking as cocky as ever, I would love to wipe the sadistic smile off of Greenwood's face though, and we were finally able to get going. Me and Tabitha were tasked with stealing a fire truck so it didn't look as bait as a van if we pull out in front of a school bus so we got to work quick on that one while the boys were just sitting in there van. Tabitha argued that she could do it by herself but I insisted on helping so we walked over to a fire truck and checked it out to see if there was anyone inside, there was one person sitting in the drivers seat on his phone obviously bored out of his mind and no one else in sight so we took the opportunity to just take him out. I came up with a plan to distract him by acting hurt to lure him out of the truck so Tabitha could get in, my hair making me look different so he couldn't tell who I was made it perfect. I took out my knife and slid it across my arm to make it believable and got into my character. A helpless child that fell and hurt herself. I grabbed my bleeding arm and ran to the truck, "Excuse me! Excuse me! Do you have any first aid!" I yelled, the man looked up at me then saw my arm before grabbing a little green bag next to him and jumping out of the truck. Well that was easier than i thought. I decided to really get into character and force out a tear or two, "Hey, hey, it's okay. Come sit over here and I'll get it cleaned up and wrapped for you okay?" I just nodded sniffling, he was opening the bag and putting some alcohol on a pad and I looked over his shoulder to see Tabitha walking towards the truck. He started to clean my wound and my god did it sting. "Ahh." I said slightly withdrawing my arm. "Sorry kid but it needs to be cleaned so it doesn't get infected." He gave me an apologetic smile, it was a shame I was gonna have to kill him he seemed like a nice man. He grabbed some bandages out of the bag and wrapped my arm, once again I looked over his shoulder to see Tabitha she gave me the nod to kill him and I sighed. I really didn't want to kill this man, so I decided instead to knock him out so once we started to pack his bag I took out my knife, "I'm so sorry about this.." I whispered before hitting the butt of the knife on his temple aggressively knocking him out then quickly getting up and running to the truck.
I fiddled with the bandage on my arm as me and Tabitha drove towards are watch point. "Hey? You okay little one?" Tabitha spoke softly clearly seeing I was deep in thought. I let out a breath I didn't realise I was holding before responding, "Yeah just that guy was so nice and was willing to help me yknow, most people would have just discarded my pleas but he didn't and I guess I just feel bad that for my thanks he got knocked out and his truck stolen." I said with a slight shrug looking down once more. Tabitha stopped the car as we reached our destination before turning to me, "I understand what you mean Jess you wish it was someone else or someone who deserved it but sometimes good people end up in the wrong place at the wrong time and the fact that you didn't kill him means he will be okay alright?" She wasn't wrong so I just nodded looking up to meet her eyes, "Yeah I guess your right." She sent me a playful smirk, "Of course I'm right." She said before hitting my shoulder lightly and getting out of the car. "Hey!" I yelled before jumping out of the car.
We got to our spot on top of the building and looked down spotting the fire truck. We waited for a while hoping the school bus would go past on time and finally 10 minutes later it did. The boys sprung into action and swerved in front of the school bus pulling it to a holt before Jerome jumped out of the truck and danced his way over to the bus. That boy really has no shame I thought to myself. "That boy really knows how to put on a show huh?" I heard Tabitha say to my left, "Yup." I responded popping the 'p' before letting out a little giggle. Jerome finally got into the bus and I instantly heard the pop of his gun. I couldn't see much as he was in the bus but I could hear girly high pitched screams which caused me to smile, this was definitely the cheerleader bus. Green word grabbed a hose from the truck and took it to the bus where I heard more screams followed by two pops. "Shit cops!" I heard to my right as I saw myself pointing towards the left of the bus I spun my head pointing the binoculars to see three cop cars. "Tabitha look." I said pushing her binoculars to the cops direction. She looked back at me with a worried look before getting out her sniper from the case besides her.
Before I knew it there were multiple shots fired from both cops and the Maniax before I heard an all to familiar voice. Jim. I stopped helping Tabitha with the sniper to look back through my binoculars to see him hiding behind his car door. At this point all that was left was for Jerome or someone to light the bus up and because the cops couldn't shoot as they ran a risk of shooting one of the kids on the bus it should be easy to get out. Jerome pulled out a lighter trying to light it but it wasn't working I could feel my anxiety rising as I heard my cop car sirens in the distance, "Come on, come on." I whispered to myself not being able to take my eyes off of the situation. Jerome looked around talking, I couldn't figure out what exactly he was saying but I presumed he was asking if anyone had another lighter and I seemed to have presumed right when Dobkins pulled out a lighter from his pocket. Then finally to my relief Jerome and most of the Maniax's got back into the truck and started to drive away slowly as Dobkins struggled to get the lighter to work. By now the truck was gonna be impossible to get on for Dobkins as the lighter was still not working so I looked at Tabitha before giving her the nod. I looked back down to see Jim running towards the bus and right when Dobkins finally got the lighter to work Tabitha took for shot killing him.
The lighter fell and landed in the gasoline setting it alit and I was looking forward to seeing the bus go up in flames but Jim somehow managed to get there in time before driving the bus out of the path of the flames. "Dammit!" I exclaimed as I sat back up throwing my binoculars to the ground with a huff. Tabitha seemed unfazed and simply started packing up her sniper making sure to stay away from the edge so that Jim couldn't see her with the sniper. I peered over the edge to check the aftermath and that was a big mistake as I see Jim and Harvey looking up locking eyes with me, I instantly retract before turning to Tabitha, "I think they saw me we need to go now!" She looked at me wide eyed before sending me a quick nod before grabbing our things and bolting it down the building and into our car before speeding away. I looked in the rear view mirror before we turned to see two silhouettes running around the far edge of the building before stopping in there tracks seeing our car turn and speed away.
