I woke up the next morning with a smile plastered onto my face. I jumped up and got changed before practically running to the kitchen to get breakfast. I stopped at the table as I realised there was no sign of my dad anywhere. Thank God. I could have a nice morning breakfast with no hitting for yelling. It will be peaceful. I grabbed some bread and put it in the toaster and went to the fridge to see if there was any juice. Of course, there was none. I rolled my eyes at the empty fridge before slamming it shut. I turned to the toaster where the bread popped out. I grabbed the toast, put my coat on and ran out the front door almost sprinting down to the GCPD, just hoping Jerome would be there.

Upon entering the GCPD, I realised I hadn't actually finished my toast and I instantly devoured it. I looked up in surprise seeing the GCPD full of clowns and men in leotards. Normal day. I looked around before my eyes landing on Harvey his face was in pure shock. I laughed as he then looked towards me rolling his eyes. Harvey and I have a weird relationship: he acted like he hated me but secretly deep down, I think he really enjoys having me there. I walked up to him, "Hey 'Arv, where's Jim?" He instantly replied, "Oh yes, he's waiting for you in the interrogation room. He wants you to help him with all these clowns today." He laughed at his own joke making me mentally face palm. I slapped his arm playfully as he acted hurt holding his hand to his chest, before I started walking off to the interrogation room.

I walked into the interrogation room. Jim and Lee were both in there, smiling. I smiled at them, "Hey guys, what's all these clowns doing here?". They briefed me with what's happened. Basically a lady called Lila was murdered and they think it was either a Grayson or the Lloyds. I internally smiled as I knew who the murderer was. After a few clowns and men came in, Jim looked defeated. They were getting nowhere. He stopped for a bit to go get some food and drink whilst me and Lee stayed in the room and started talking. "Hey Lee, what was it like yesterday?" She looked at me with a sad look in her eye, "It was horrible, she was sliced up." She paused looking down,"Exactly like how we found your mother...". My eyes were as wide as they have ever been before. Wow. Jerome copied me? Impossible. Jim walked in, breaking the silence in the room and not long after, the next suspect walked in.

I looked up and and saw Jerome, his eyes instantly locking with mine, he froze and so did I. Jim looked at us weirdly before letting out a sigh. I instantly looked down with my mind racing. He just sat down not taking his eyes off of me. I know I wanted to see him but why do I feel like this? I should be happy to see him. With all these questions in my mind I didn't notice, Jim already starting the interrogation. "Jerome. We know this may be hard but we need to ask some questions about your mother." He nodded indicating Jim to go on. I slowly lost focus while my mind wandered to anything but the discussion. Then another man walked in. I raised my eyebrow in confusion as he sat down. My mind started wandering again like, what will I be having for lunch? Or should I have even been excited to come today?

All of a sudden I heard a laugh. I knew what it was instantly looking straight at Jerome. He winked at me. Jim told Lee and I to get out. I walked past Jerome who grabbed my hand, Jim instantly stood and ripped me away from his grasp. I smirked and winked at Jerome who had his signature smile on his face. Jim pushed lee and I out and slammed the door shut. Lee looked at me confused as I was smiling, "Um Jess, why are you smiling?" I chuckled, feeling like I wasn't in control. I responded, "Oh, you'll see why soon." With that, I walked back home. I walked in and went straight to my room noticing my dad was back. Perfect. I walked to the drawer and pulled out the knife and walked to my dad, "Dad?" He turned and rage filled his face as I distracted him from one of his whores. He charged for me and when he was close enough I pulled the knife in front of me and he practically ran into it. His expression changed and I heard a woman gasp. I pulled the knife out of his stomach and he winced in pain and fell to the floor. I lunged on top of him suddenly feeling an overpowering emotion and stabbed him repeatedly. Damn, it felt good to do it again I thought to myself. I stood and saw that the woman ran away. Shit.
