He seems to be enjoying it.
Each and every day goes by and he comes out of his shell a lot more.

Of course, seeing him this happy makes me think twice about the life he had before this.
The childhood he had.

The trauma that come along with it. The nightmares he gets sometimes, if not all the time and the amount of stories he's subsided because they brought back bad memories.

Thousands of times I've went on and on about my fun, enjoyable and loveable upbringing and the nicest thing to ever happen in his, was that his mother one time fought back his father.

The thought of it, I can't even bare it.

I push it to the back of my head and make sure it stays there, for everyone else's sake as well as mine.

But going back to happiness.
Happiness is this.

Happiness, is watching the boy you love, finally be a child when he hasn't been one.

Happiness, is watching him finally let loose and experience it himself and what it was meant to be like.

Lukas's happiness... that's all that matters.
