GOING BACK.

CHAPTER 4.

Hayley, Keelin and Hope had turned the previous night and had run with the Wolves of the Waithe Pack, Hayley had noticed in wolf form as she stayed back from the pack, Hope had been drawn to Raf's Wolf and had run beside him the whole night,

Hope had also talked about Raf non stop to any in the Family who would listen, Hayley had known Hope had had a good friendship with Rafael in the Salvatore School , when they attended together, but she could see what Hope had not acknowledged to herself,  which was quite plain today and that was Hope had deeper feelings for Rafael than she knew, Hayley intended to get to know this time's Rafael, already she liked his Father, he was a good, fair, strong and caring Alpha and his pack highly respected him, they were are great pack of wolves, with little infighting and bickering.

After the Run they had gone back to the Waithe Pack Village and sat around the Fire, the Older People of the pack who no longer turned had cooked a feast and Hayley and Keelin mingled further getting to know the pack members, Hope had joined Rafael and they sat apart from the others to eat, talking together, and Rax invited Hayley into the circle of Elders.

"Have you met any of the other Family members of the Tadcaster Family?" Rax asked her quietly.

"No, only Rebekah, have you had dealings with her Brother's?" Hayley asked.

"We have met Elijah, the Noble Brother, he is known as a Man of his word, So far I can testify to that, I hear from others in the Town of York he cleans up and smooths over his Brother Klaus's affairs, shall we say,"

"Klaus?" Hayley asked questioning him.

"There is something about that vampire, he is unlike Elijah and Rebekah, legend is, he is born Wolf but his wolf is not active, must have been a powerful witch to suppress the wolf, and it is curious that he can be both, He is very protective of the wolves here, we have a story handed down from my Father that this pack was hunted by humans when my Father was young, and Klaus Tadcaster killed them all, ripped them apart for hunting us." Rax disclosed to her.

"I see, so he leaves you alone here to live your life?" Hayley asked.

"He does more than that he generously donates money to the pack that always sees us through the hard Winter Months, Rebekah does it as to not draw attention to him, he does not like to been seen doing good works, and he is ruthless to all others."

"That would seem to suggest he has a link or affinity for the wolves, would it not?" Hayley said as she looked at Rax and the Elders who nodded at her words,

"We are certainly grateful he has no ill attention towards us, as the talk in Town of his rage is legendary, have you been invited Tomorrow night to Tadcaster. Castle?" Rax asked.

"I have, Freya and I will attend, and you?" Hayley asked.

"Yes, I and the Elders will attend to show our respect, and to keep good relations with the Tadcaster Family." Rax said, as Hayley nodded.

"Our Children get on well." Hayley commented looking at Hope and Raf deep in conversation.

"My Son is smitten," Rax said his tone light and warm as he looked their way, Hayley smiled and nodded, as she too watched them.

"If you make those bloody strings any tighter I am going to burst." Hayley grimaced as Davina was tightening the strings on Hayley floor length blood full red Dress, tightly fitted at the bust and waist the full skirt falling to the floor, the raw silk had a flowing stiffness that was perfect for the formal occasion they were attending,

"They wear so many under clothes in this time, I can't get used to it, the house maids are scandalized by us you know, I heard them talking in the kitchen about how the Women of this family are strange the don't like to wear to many clothes" Davina said laughing as she finished tying the strings and tucking them out of sight.
