GOING BACK.

CHAPTER 5

Elijah barged into his Brother's art room, looking at Niklaus sprawled in his armchair several decanters of whisky empty at his feet a half filled decanter clutched in one hand, his eyes slitted, long hair array, his head resting back against the chair,

"Niklaus you are completely ignoring Katerina, you have been holed up in this room for days, what is it Niklaus, what has perturbed you Brother?" Elijah asked, confused and concerned. 

"Do what you want with the Doppelganger, all I need her for is her blood for the sacrifice, I want nothing to do with her, and make sure you do not fall for her Brother, She is here to break my curse, you are not to save her." Klaus said harshly, aware of Elijah's attraction for the girl with the face of the first girl they had both loved, and using Elijah's guilt for allowing their Father and Mother to bind him, "Make sure she does not run off, you only need keep her entertained for a week, then we will have the Full Moon and the sacrifice can take place," Klaus ordered, as Elijah frowned, it was not like Niklaus to hand over control of the possession he most wanted.

"Have you met someone?" Elijah asked, taking a guess, surely not, his Brother never cared for Women other than for sex or blood, Klaus just ignored him, and Elijah shook his head and left the room.

Elijah found Rebekah ready to leave for the Family she visited, Elijah had yet to meet them but he was suspicious of the closeness she had formed with the Supernatural Family, but he hadn't the time to meet them himself, he needed to keep Katerina entertained, he could not fail Niklaus in this, he owed him that,

"Sister, did Niklaus meet someone the night of his Birthday?" Elijah questioned her.

"Not that I am aware, Elijah, I thought he was with the Doppelganger, he finally has what he wants." Rebekah said back, she loathed the new doppelganger and was aware Elijah had once again fallen for the same face.

"Niklaus is not interested in her at all, he has charged me with her care, it is unlike him Rebekah not to want to control the situation." Elijah explained.

"That face broke his heart Elijah, of course he does not care about this one, he only wants her blood, do not fall for her Elijah." Rebekah warned as she looked sternly into her Brother's eyes, knowing full well her older Brother's penchant to play White Knight.

"I am well aware Rebekah of my duty." Elijah said as he walked away, Rebekah watching with slight worry, if Nik was denied his opportunity to break his curse there would be hell to pay, she thought as she left the Castle and got into the carriage, to spend the day with Marcel and the Labonair Family, thankful they were here, she so enjoyed their company.

Klaus looked out the window not seeing the landscape his thoughts consumed with the hazel eyed she wolf, he had not been able to banish her from his mind, what was this pull to her? Klaus thought he should have her and be done, but was hesitant to approach her again, his tingling at the base of his neck, that sixth sense of his, warned him the hazel eyed beauty was more than someone he should just bed and be done with, he felt she had looked through him, knew his innermost thoughts, and Klaus had not been so drawn to a female since Aurora De Martel and he never wanted to give himself over to that feeling for another ever again,

Klaus pulled himself out of the chair and swayed staggering to his bedroom and collapsed on his bed, closing his eyes, his mind and senses still consumed with her scent and her face. 

"Mom I'm going to see Raf," Hope said bursting through Hayley's bedroom door in a rush of exuberance a wide smile on her lips her eyes alight with a gleam that Haylery had not seen in years.
