CHAPTER 10.

"Elijah, I would like a word with you," Klaus asserted, as he walked into the dining room the next day,

"Don't forget Dad, tonight's the big night," Hope said with a grin and Klaus looked at his beautiful Daughter and smiled, then noticing Finn,

"Welcome back Finn." Klaus acknowledged him, and Finn inclined his head to him, as Sage gripped his hand tight under the table, his beloved Elder Sister at his side, and a Niece across from him and the table that truly fascinated him, knowing she had been the one to stand up to Niklaus for him.

Elijah got up from the table and followed Niklaus, and as they walked to the study, Hayley came into view going to the dining room and she looked at  Klaus then Elijah and she walked to Klaus and pressed her body into his, and kissed him on the lips,

"I love you," She said softly in his ear, and kept walking to the dining room giving Elijah a smile, and Klaus was so taken aback at her action, he became distracted, the warm feel of her lips on his, her declaration of love for him, her total disregard for the times properties, her total affection, tenderness and passion towards him, him an abomination....

"Niklaus," Elijah said watching his Brother, Klaus seemed to remember Elijah was there and nodded to his Brother walking in the study, Klaus went to the drinks trolley and poured them both large balloons of brandy, Klaus was going to lay down the law to Elijah regarding his Wife but he wasn't sure that was the right tack now, Klaus handed Elijah a brandy and Elijah sat down looking at Niklaus quizzically,

"In the future, you and my Wife were together before and after Hope was born," Klaus disclosed watching as Elijah's mouth dropped open, his eyes disbelieving,

"Surely not Niklaus there must be some mistake," Elijah managed to say.

"There is no mistake Brother," Klaus answered him.

"I cannot fathom it, why would you allow such an occurrence? and why would I? your Wife is beautiful of that there is no doubt, and intelligent, strong, fearless, loyal, and not my type of Woman at all."

"I agree, but nevertheless it is so, we will not have a problem in this time will we Brother?" Klaus demanded drinking down his brandy, and looking at Elijah sternly.

"None Niklaus, you have my word," Elijah announced as Klaus stood and nodded.

Elijah still rattled by his conversation with Niklaus went and sought out Kol, he needed another person's view of this situation and Kol was of that time and had his memories, he didn't feel comfortable going to Freya or Marcel about this, especially as Marcel was Niklaus's adopted Son, and Elijah wasn't sure of what this conversation would entail or lead too.

Finding Kol in the cavernous library pouring over grimoires and magical site texts, Elijah sat down and studied him, even in the few days Davina had been here he saw the marked change in Kol, Elijah had never seen him so focused and calm, so like the Kol he knew before their Mother had turned them into vampires and Kol's magic had manifested he was so happy, mischievous but grounded, he seemed like that once again, the beautiful feisty little witch had worked miracles on Kol or maybe his Brother had just needed to meet the right Woman, as Niklaus had seemed too, already Niklaus was unlike his usual self, Kol looked at Elijah and smirked,

"Can I help you with something Elijah?"

"Yes Kol if you would, Niklaus has just told me I was with Hayley in the future was this correct?" Kol looked at Elijah and thought, Here we go this will be fun,

"You were, I wasn't there for the start of your relationship with Hayley I got there after the birth of Hope, but Davina had filled me in on the early times and it was talked about amongst the Family from time to time." Kol eased into it, Elijah frowned,
