When Jennie was getting out early the next morning, she stole one last kiss from Rosé and turned to make her way out the window when she stopped to ask
"I'll see you at school?"
"Yea, but remember? We hate each other." Rosé fake smiled.
"Always," Jennie said with a wink and put one foot out the window.
"Wait, are you alright Rosé, you weren't well last night and this morning too, you look a little... low"
"I'm fine. But why do you care anyway?" Rosé said, an eyebrow raised in question.
"I mean... I don't... but... actually you know what, yea. Bye." she said and hopped out.
Rosé huffed and sat on her bed. She traced her own lips, trying to keep the feeling of Jennie there longer, but alas, it was temporary, like this whole arrangement.
Jennie walked down the sidewalk to her place. It was still kind of dark, too early in the morning, but she'd gotten used to this, she didn't mind it.
The sex was mind-blowing. Rosé's hands, her body, everything about her was just... perfect. Jennie felt so conflicted, even as she opened the new chat window pulling up Nayeon's name. It felt wrong, but it made no sense for it to be wrong, right? She couldn't love Rosé. She couldn't. She could love Nayeon. She could never see Rosé that way, right? They don't get along, their work on this assignment had proved it anyway.
Jennie began to type.
Also, how long could they keep doing this, at some point they would stop, and what would Jennie do then, by pursuing something with Nayeon, at least she was making sure she'll have someone as a constant, right? Rosé could up and run any moment, what if Rosé found Tiny Moon girl. Then what?
That reminded Jennie, that she should try and figure out Nayeon's tattoo too.
"Hey, it's me, Jennie. Are you going to be at the library today?" she typed quickly and hit send. Took a deep breath and sneaked her way into her house to get ready for school.
Football practice got called off that day, and So Jisoo and Irene found themselves free for an hour before they needed to get back home, they decided to call Lisa and Seulgi and maybe grab lunch together at the diner nearby.
"Oh you two, get out of each other's faces already," Irene said to Jisoo and Lisa who seemed to be constantly distracted from the conversation and ending up kissing or sweet talking one another.
Jisoo chuckled and said "Fine, you're right"
"Sorry," Lisa said with a smile and biting down on her lip.
"Oh come on, baby. Let them have their fun. They're new lovers, don't forget how just like them we were in the beginning" Seulgi said.
"Don't be stupid, we weren't this love-sick" Irene argued.
"Trust me, you guys were worse off," Jisoo said, laughing at the memories.
"Really? How long have you guys been together?" Lisa asked them.
"3 years now," Irene said proudly, and they looked at Seulgi who leaned in for a sweet kiss.
"They're soulmates, you know?" Jisoo told Lisa as she picked up a few fries from the plate in the center of the table and put some on Lisa's plate and some on her own.
"What? You guys have the same tattoos?" Lisa asked.
Irene's face lit up to confirm it.
"We do. She's a special one, this woman" Seulgi said, looking at her girlfriend with pride in her eyes and they kissed once more.
