V had Jimin almost pinned against the wall, an arm on either side of the shorter male. Jimin scowled up at the dragon male as he glared down at the shorter male.
"You say that like I had a choice! It was to give him my blood or we both would've died." Jimin huffed angrily.
"And you risked your own life in the process?!" V hissed, clearly pissed off.
Jimin crossed his arms and raised his chin slightly. "Then atleast one of us would've survived."
"You're more important." V said, his voice almost vulnerable. He gazed to his side, avoiding looking at the shorter male. His tone confused Jimin for a moment.
"Without you, we can't nullify the contract." The dragon male was back to his stoic face and rude words within a second. Jimin was left to wonder if he imagined V looking vulnerable.
"We'll all be stuck until we could find the next Asphodel, and we found you by chance." On hearing that, another surge of irritation rolled through Jimin.
"And Suga would've died! Or gone to the Abyss. How could you be so callous? Do you really only care about yourself? You've been with Suga and Jin for how many years? How many decades? And you'd have me let Suga die to avoid risking myself? So you're not inconvenienced?" Jimin scoffed, shaking his head, "I can't believe you're this selfish. Wanting your freedom from the sins of the last Asphodel over the life of someone you've known for ages."
V visibly gritted his teeth, "Are you truly ok with just throwing your life away for another person? Were you not afraid?" V's eyes searched Jimin's for several long moments.
'I was afraid, wasn't I?' But Jimin was not going to let him know that. The dragon male just wanted to prove his point so he could get what he wants.
"It doesn't matter if I was afraid or not. Suga and I were both in danger. I had a choice. I could act, and potentially save at least one of us. Or I could try to save myself, knowing I wouldn't escape, and condemn Suga to death. And I think the right choice is obvious." Jimin said, trying to make the taller male understand.
V looked like he tasted an unpalatable lemon. "What were you doing the night we met? Did you truly care more about me, a dragon you'd never met, more than yourself?"
"I..." Jimin's thoughts drifted back to how he felt that day. "You were injured. I couldn't just let RM hurt you more. I guess I just wanted to save you.."
V stepped back, letting out a long breath. An emotion creeped into his eyes that almost seemed.. Sad!!
"You're a bit of a martyr, aren't you? Always putting the lives of others above your own." The corner of his mouth twisted up into a slight smile. His expression sends a confusing jumble of emotions through Jimin.
"I don't know if you're ignorant, or stupid, or just.." V's arms dropped down to Jimin's shoulders before wrapping him into a tight hug.
'Wh-what?!' Jimin's heart pounded at the warmth of his body against his. Jimin was glad for the darkness, because if anyone looked at him, he was sure his cheeks would be aflame. 'I can't figure out what he's thinking. First he's scolding me, and now he's..'
"You don't need to try to be so tough, you know.." V's breath tickled Jimin's ear as he whispered, delightful shivers running through him.
"Being afraid is a natural response to life-or-death situations. It's ok to feel fear. I'm sure you were shaking when you shared your power with Suga. Just as you trembled when you saved me." His words both reassured Jimin and filled him with shame.
