"You.. do know what will happen then, don't you?" Jungkook frowned, looking at the shorter male.
"What? You mean that I'll be in danger without the protection of the Guardian Dragons?" Jimin asked.
"Danger? No, Jimin." Jungkook shook his head, "Once you end the contract, you will die."

Jimin took a step back. "What are you talking about?"
"It's too dangerous to risk an Asphodel's blood being taken by a greedy dragon for selfish purposes. That's the whole reason for the contract." Jungkook said, matter of fact.
"Right, so once I'm no longer protected by them, I'll be in danger because other dragons will want to use me." Jimin mumbled, in thought.
"You don't really think they'd accept that risk, do you?" Jungkook frowned.
"What?" Jimin asked puzzled.
"The first Asphodel decided that in order to prevent such a thing from occurring, an unprotected Asphodel must vanish." Jungkook said, looking at the shorter male.
'What? No one told me about anything like this!' Jimin mused.
"This is a secret revealed only to the Asphodels." Jungkook said, as if reading his mind.
'Oh.. So V, Jin and Suga have no idea.. and I should have known, if only the transfer had worked properly.' Jimin sighed.
"Therefore, if you end the contract entirely and have no Guardian Dragons at all, the power within you as the Asphodel will instantly kill you." Jungkook said, squeezing Jimin's arm.
'No..' Jimin eyes widened at that thought.
"My offer still stands. Let me take over as the Asphodel again, and I will free Jin and Suga in exchange for a personal contract with V." Jungkook said, smiling at the shorter male.
'Something about this feels off.' Jimin looked at the taller male.
"Why are you willing to do this?" Jimin asked, raising a brow.
"It's what I've wanted this whole time." Jungkook said, looking to his side.
"Won't it just put you in the same situation, then?" You won't be able to end the contract either, or you'll die." Jimin asked, tilting his head.
"That's why I will switch to having a personal contract with V alone." Jungkook said, biting his lips.
"You never intend to free him, then." Jimin asked, fisting his hands.
"That's between me and V." Jungkook frowned.
'But.. but that's not fair!' Jimin felt dizzy. 'I was prepared for what was going to happen. I didn't like it, but I accepted it. But this...' Jimin bit his lips, wondering what to do next.
