Dragon's Kiss (VMin)

Chapter - 16

   Jimin headed deeper into the library. The area was so empty that the hair on the back of his neck prickled. Suddenly, he felt like he was being watched and whirled around.

   He gasped, seeing a hooded figure standing before him, "Who are you?!" He demanded, having a terrible feeling at that moment. The figure reminded him of the other Apostles he had faced before.

   If Jimin had any doubts, it was erased as the hooded figure lunged for him.

   Jimin dodged to the side as the Apostle attacked. 'I've got to get out of here!' Jimin thought. Yet in that part of the library, there's not a lot of room between the bookshelves.

   The Apostle had him cornered. "Why are you after me?!" Jimin yelled, backing away from the hooded figure. But his attacker doesn't answer, merely lunged for him again.

   "Help! Is anyone out there?!" Jimin screamed, in hope of someone hearing him.

   "Leave him alone!" V sprinted into view, his face filled with fury. He lunged for the Apostle, who dodged out of the way.

   "Don't you dare touch jimin!" V sneered at the hooded figure, ready to pounce at them again.

   'I've never seen V look this angry before.' Jimin bit his lips, looking back and forth between the dragon male and the Apostle.

   The hooded figure paused, as if assessing the dragon male for a moment and then fled away from the area.

   Jimin almost expected V to chase after the Apostle, but instead he turned to him. His eyes were wild, checking Jimin for any injuries. "Are you okay?"

   "I'm fine. You came just in time." Jimin assured the dragon male. The tension drained from the dragon male's body, and he hugged the shorter male tightly. "Good. If anything happened to you, I'd.." V struggled, tightening his embrace.

"V..?" Jimin patted his back, in assurance. He too was overwhelmed by the sudden affection from the dragon male, after avoiding him for so long.

   V let go of the shorter male and stepped back to look into his eyes. "I need to apologise. I shouldn't have tricked you. I'm sorry." V held his hand, "At first I just thought it would be an entertaining way to pass some time, but after a while I realised that I.." V trailed off, looking to his side.

   'He actually apologized? He seemed so worried about me, too. If that's how he feels, then why did he act so cold toward me when I found out the truth?!' Jimin tilted his head in thought.

   "Can you forgive me?" V asked, looking vulnerable.

   Looking into his anxious gaze, Jimin couldn't bring himself to ask all his questions just yet. "I forgive you." He smiled, squeezing the dragon male's hand.

   V let out a long breath. "I can't believe they attacked you at your university."

   Jimin sighed, looking around the library, "It's only because this is an isolated spot."
