Jimin woke up with a start, the words of a nightmare, still on his lips. When he opened his eyes though, he was not in the chair.
'Huh..?!' Jimin was in V 's bed. 'I don't... remember getting here.'
Jimin looked around and spot V attempting to leave the room. "Did you move me?" Jimin asked in a raspy voice.
Startled, V looked back at the shorter male, "Obviously.." Having been caught, the dragon male came over to sit on the edge of the bed. "You were sleeping in a chair. I didn't think it was the best place, and it didn't look particularly comfortable."
Jimin's neck complained as he shifted his position. 'ughh.. He's not wrong..'
"So I put you in bed." V said looking at the shorter male's disheveled state.
"And you were just going to leave me here? Aren't you still hurt?!" Jimin asked, scrunching his brows in displeasure.
V gave him a flat look. "Would I be up and walking around, carrying boys who sleep in weird places if I weren't up to it?! Dragons heal quickly." Saying that, he looked away.
"And, well, I had you caring for me. I'd obviously get better faster if I had an attendant like you." V said innocently.
Jimin's cheeks warmed a little, and he noticed that the dragon male was flustered too. Jimin was surprised the dragon male said something like that. 'I guess he's finally opening up to me?' The thought made him happy.
V looked down at his hands. "I wanted to apologise for what happened last night. Between us. I probably spoke a little too much about my personal life."
'What?!' Jimin looked puzzled.
"You didn't need to know about that boy. The fever must've gone to my head. I wouldn't usually just dump something like that on someone. So uh.. don't dwell on it. It might be better if you just forget I mentioned it." Saying that, V stood up, as if to leave.
Before he could think better of it, Jimin reached out and grabbed his hand.
V looked at him, startled, before jerking his hand out of Jimin's grip. "I said don't dwell on it. Just.. forget I ever mentioned it okay?"
"V, I can't just forget.. You seemed to really care about Jungkook. I think it'd do you a disservice if I just ignored that. Maybe we can.." The look in V's eyes made Jimin trail off.
"Just. Forget. It." V snapped.
"But I can't just--" Jimin started again, but V hurried out of the room before Jimin could even finish his sentence.
Jimin flopped back against the pillows. 'He's so hot and cold all the time.. First he opens up to me, telling me something personal like that.. And now he just wants me to forget it ever happened. If words could just be taken back like that, I don't think wars would ever even start.' Jimin stared up at the ceiling, feeling a bit forlorn.
'I guess what happened with Jungkook really affected him though. He just apologised for talking to me about it. Is it because he feels a lot of guilt..? I mean, he said he blames himself, but he really does seem to think it's his fault.' Abruptly Jimin realised something and snorted softly.
'It would fit his personality to think that he'd be better off not getting close to another person. As though that could prevent them from getting hurt.' Jimin rolled over and smelled his scent on the pillows.
