Chapter - 14

   "Is that a threat?!" V gritted his teeth.

   "No! You're the one that's the threat if Jimin is constantly in danger!" Suga's loud voice boomed in the living room.

   'Are they fighting?!'

   Jimin held his breath as he stood in the hallway, listening.

    "You can't even answer me, can you?" Suga snorted.

   "I'm just appalled that you'd somehow think it's my fault?" V voices in disbelief.

   "How would it not be?! The Apostles will target those who've sinned. You love him, right? Could that not be a reason they'd try to kill him?" Suga replied.

   There was a long pause.

   'L-love..?!' Jimin blinked.

   "Don't just jump to conclusions, Suga. Besides, it's not like they magically know when a sin has occurred. They'd have to have proof." V said nonchalantly.

   Suga made an irritated noise. "You're not getting what I'm saying. I'm telling you don't make the same mistake twice. You already screwed up with Jungkook."

   "The hell did you just say?!" V seethed.

   In the hallway, Jimin fought to keep his breathing calm.  'They're really going at it, but.. Suga's really hitting V below the belt here..'

   The room goes quiet again.

   "Hey Jimin, get in here." Suga's voice startled the shorter male. He cursed under his breath.

   Jimin peeked in through the door.

   "Eavesdropping is a bad habit." V said, glaring at him.

   "W-well, it wasn't like you two were talking quietly or anything.. I could hear you from the hall." Jimin stated the obvious.

   Suga was looking at him with an odd expression. "Why are you following V's orders?"

   His question blindsided Jimin. "What?!"

   "You always do what he says. You just obey him. Why?" Suga asked again, raising his brow.

    "Because we have a personal contract." The words slipped out before Jimin could stop himself.

   'Oh crap.. I wasn't supposed to mention it right? As part of the contract?' Jimin forced himself not to look at V, but he could feel his gaze boring a hole in the back of his head.

    Suga seemed confused for a long moment before his brow scrunches. "I don't know what nonsense he's told you, but you can't just enter contracts. There's the Contract between the Asphodel and the Guardian dragons.. It's the one that dictates we share a destiny."

   'Share.. a destiny?!' Jimin thought confused.

   "But that's it.." Suga continued.

   "That's it?" Jimin asked, his mouth agape in bewilderment.

   "Yeah. You don't have a "personal contract" or whatever he told you." Suga said, shrugging his shoulder.
