Chapter 17: Costello Party

I am upset right now.

Like really upset.

I can't believe Matteo and I got into an argument. I can't believe he's mad at me. I know the argument was kinda... dumb.... But I get what he was saying. I can't be hiding from his parents forever for the rest of my life. I would like to meet his parents and maybe they are nice people. I just don't believe they killed my mom.

I wasn't going to tell Matteo that I was going. I was kinda thinking it to be a surprise. I decided to tell one person which was Nora. "Hey girl!" Nora yelled over the phone.

"Hey Nora... why are you screaming over the phone?" I said chuckling.

"Nathan just asked me out!" Nora said cheerfully. I smiled. I am happy for her and my best friend.

"I'm happy for you" I said chuckling.

"Thanks girly.. so what's up? Matteo came out of your room angry"

I sighed. "Yes, he was. We got into our first argument.. unfortunately..." I said sadly.

Nora winced over the phone. "Ohh, sorry girl. What happened?"

"I told him I shouldn't go to your party because of your parents and ya know... we are rivalries. He got mad... he suggested that I should go" I said, my heart breaking a little by the last event that occurred.

"I mean I would be kinda pissed off too. My parents aren't  bad people Davina...you just gotta get used to them and they need to get used to you" Nora said over the phone and I agreed with her.

"Yeah, you know what.. I need to grow some balls and meet your parents. He is my boyfriend after all.." I said and Nora cheered over the phone.

"That's it! The confidence boo! Oh! And come over! We can get ready together and I'll do a makeover on you for Matteo" Nora said teasing me in a flirty tone. It made me blush.

"Hey!" I chuckled. "Okay, I will. What time?" I asked.

"Any. I'm free anytime" Nora said.

"Okay... oh and Nora don't tell Matteo that I am coming. I kinda.... Want this to be a surprise" I said and Nora chuckled.

"Okay.. see ya then!" Nora said hanging up.

I was right. There I admitted I was right for the first time. I need to grow some balls and go meet his parents. I mean it's worth a shot.

I picked a dress and shoes, and I didn't get ready because I'm getting ready at Nora's.

"Nathan!!" I yelled at running down the stairs. I tripped and Nathan caught me.

"Hey clumsy, what's up?" Nathan said bringing me up. I rolled my eyes playfully.

"Hey.. can you bring me to the Costello's house" I said and Nathan's smile faded away.

"I don't think your father will like that Davina... your father doesn't like them and Alec wouldn't like it-"

"Excuse me? Alec ain't my father first of all, and second of all, my DAD is my father. I don't give a fuck what Alec thinks" I said angrily and snatched his keys.

"Hey! Davina give that back!" Nathan yelled out running after me but I closed the door on him.

"I'll give them back later! See ya!" I yelled out getting into his car and turning it on.

I drove off and I just hope I got along with his parents and I hope he isn't mad at me anymore. I am just hoping for the best.
