Eleanor walked down the street. She didn't want to drive today, walking was just fine.
Throwing her empty cup of coffee in a nearby bin, she turned and walked down the street that led to her friend's workplace. It was a Sunday, yes. Her friend worked throughout the week.
It took a few minutes for Eleanor to reach the end of the street and there stood her friend's very own office. Eleanor took a few minutes to gaze at the building and reminisce the memories of setting this up, with and for her friend. Neither of them had ever thought that this very building would help her reach the heights not many people could reach. Eleanor was so proud of her friend.
Entering the building, she told the lady at the reception, "I'm Eleanor Calder. The founder of this very building. Or co-founder, perhaps." The receptionist nodded and smiled, showing her the way in. Eleanor walked towards her friend's cabin.
She opened the door and saw a few people already waiting to meet her. She sat outside for a few minutes till the door to her office opened and a man's voice could be heard. "I'll see you from tomorrow, then. Thank you so much." The man was saying. "Of course, no problem. Please do share the necessities with my manager. Thank you." A lady said. Eleanor smiled. There was the person she was looking forward to meeting.
Two men left the room, closing the door behind them. Eleanor looked out of the window to see whether it was raining. The weather was bipolar sometimes. Both the men looked ahead and saw Eleanor, and one of them was thunderstruck. Harry continued staring at Eleanor when the man spoke with an unmistakable Irish accent, "Harry, come on. I've got work to do after dropping you." And Niall pulled Harry along with him, as Harry looked away from Eleanor to his feet.
Eleanor walked to her friend's cabin, opened the door without knocking and said, "Good morning, my dear Emma!" Emma looked up from her phone and beamed when she saw her friend smiling so dearly at her. "Oh my, El! It's been ages, how have you been?" Both of them embraced before settling down for a cup of tea.
Time passed by as Eleanor and Emma caught up with each other's lives. A knock on the door, which opened when Emma asked for it to open. Emma's assistant, Marjorie, had a few sheets of paper in her hand, which looked like forms. "All details, filled! Where shall I keep this?" She asked, in a cheery voice. Emma said, "Here, keep it on my table. Thanks, Marjorie." Marjorie kept the forms on the table under the paperweight, gave Eleanor a small smile and left the cabin.
Eleanor indicated to the forms and asked Emma, "What are those?" "Oh, those are forms each customer has to fill after confirming their appointments, just so we have a written proof that they did agree to come for therapy here." Eleanor nodded in understanding.
"So, you were telling me about the wedding. How's it going? When is it?" Emma asked. Eleanor smiled and said, "Well, I spoke to Louis last night. He came home pretty late, because Liam wasn't there yesterday. He usually doesn't work overtime, you know? Only sometimes, especially when there's a lot of work and Liam's not there. So, we spoke and he said he hasn't thought about anything so far. He said he needs sometime to piece it all in his mind before telling me. As for me, I want a winter wedding in Hawaii. I didn't tell him yet, though, but I will tell him."
"Are you actually ready for getting married?" Emma asked. "Of course I am! I've been waiting for this for more than 5 years now. How can I not be ready?" Eleanor said, immediately.
"But didn't you start seeing him only like, a year ago?" Emma asked. "Yes, but he doesn't know that I had a massive crush on him for so many years." Eleanor said, dreamily. Emma nodded, but asked, "Is he ready for getting married?" Eleanor looked hesitant, but that passed quickly. She said, "Yeah. Yeah, he is." Emma smiled, "Okay then. I'm so happy for you two."
