"Got a long list of ex-lovers
They'll tell you I'm insane
But I've got a blank space, baby
And I'll write your name."Harry was choosing his clothes for the day, sashaying his hips to Taylor Swift, and having a personal concert. Pink was it, then. He decided to wear a pink polka-dot button-up shirt and black jeans.
He stopped the songs and went downstairs to check on Niall. Niall was sitting on the couch, chatting to someone with that big bloody grin on his face. In the excitement of talking to that person, he'd worn his socks and shoes before wearing his pants. "Niall, what's going on?" Harry asked, controlling his laughter.
"What? I don't know what you're talking about. Do speak up, Harold." Niall muttered. "Well, keep your phone down and maybe you'll understand what I'm talking about." Harry teased. Niall rolled his eyes, kept his phone down, and stood up. Crossing his arms on his chest, he asked, "Well, what were you talking about?" Harry indicated Niall to look down, which he did. Upon realization, he shouted, "Oh shit! I'll be back. I'll be back. Don't read my texts. I'll be back." And he ran towards his room like he was running for his life, while Harry was pissing himself.
When Niall came back, wearing a pair of pants, he said, "Why couldn't you simply tell me? That was so embarrassing." Harry grinned, "Who was it on the phone?"
"Oh, it was- it was no one. No one. Yeah. Someone from the company. That's all." Niall said, nodding the whole time. "So, you have a crush on someone from your company? I didn't know you were into company guys or girls or persons, you know? Not that I have a problem with that-"
"Harry, Harry, stop. It's uhm it's a person. She's a person. Her name is Amelia. She's the person I told you about that day, you know, the person who said they liked muffins over cupcakes? Yeah, that's her." Niall blabbered about. Okay, what was exactly happening to this man?
"So... Are you? Are you crushing on her?" Harry asked. Niall smiled like a goof. That was all Harry needed as a confirmation, "Tell me about what's happening, Ni."
"A cup of coffee, please."

"I don't know, Zayn. I have no fucking clue as to how to show him that she's not how a girlfriend is supposed to be. I mean, a partner is supposed to care about you and your feelings instead of fucking using you, right? And she just does the opposite. Are his eyes closed? Is he fucking blind all of a sudden?" Liam complained, pacing across the room.
"Have you ever thought if he has purposely kept his eyes closed? Have you ever thought that he's afraid of facing the truth?" Zayn asked, popping another popcorn in his mouth, coolly watching trash television.
"He told me. He misses his ex. But his ex has gone, he left. It's a harsh reality, I know. But he should try moving on, right? How long can he stay glued to that same chapter? What do you do when a chapter ends? Do you close the book and never read it again? In this case, do you re-read the same chapter repeatedly, even if the plot won't change?" Liam retorted.
"Liam, have you ever considered reuniting him and his ex?" Zayn asked. "No, I haven't. Louis doesn't want to meet him before he, himself, decides to meet Louis. I know, it's complicated. But it is what it is, I guess." Liam said, sighing and sitting back down on the couch. Zayn scooted closer to Liam and hugged him saying, "You're a great friend. You're doing so much to help him. And then there's me."
"What do you mean?" Liam asked.
Zayn started with a sigh, "I uhh I had a friend over the other day. From the company, obviously, but he's a real friend. So, we were just talking about things, but I got a call and I had to answer it, so I left the room. But, when I returned, he was just leaning against the wall and crying. Something about his ex too, I think. He was having an A-grade meltdown and kept muttering something about everything being his fault. And I could do nothing but let him cry on my shoulder, while I rubbed his back. I did try to ask him about his ex though, and he said it was nothing big and I didn't need to worry about it. And...he left. I didn't ask him about it again, though. Honestly, I'm a dick."
