Friday (Recital Day)
•Winter's pov•
I concentrate on every move I make. I make sure that I am elegant and swift. As I come down to the last few tricks, I don't rush through them. I make sure to complete my dance the way I've been taught to do. As I come up to my final position, I stop and pause. As soon as the song ends, applause rumbles through the rink. I take a bow and skate off the ice. When I get off, I'm bombarded with hugs from my team.
When they let me go, my coach congratulates me on how well I did my performance and I go to the locker room to change. Once I'm in my warm clothes, I walk out of the locker room to watch the rest of the performances.
When the performances are finally finished, everyone becomes quiet to see which team won each division. I'll save you the suspense. Coach Evans chose two soloists, one for the teen division, which was me, and one for the junior division. Then she chose 4 duos, two in the teen division, one of which was Ember and her partner, and two in the junior division. And we had the group routine. Both the junior soloist and I won first place in our divisions, Ember and her partner won first place in the teen duet division and one of the junior duos won first in their division (so that's 2 out of the 4 duos that won), and our group routine won first place as well. Overall, it was a good competition.
After Coach Evans congratulated us and confirmed practice next Tuesday, Ember and I tried to find our families.
"I don't think I've ever been invested in something so elegant in my life." We hear Ember's older brother behind us. "Although, I will say I wanna kick whoever your partner was for his certain hand placements."
"Don't listen to the dumbass who knows nothing. You two did amazing and you both look beautiful" Her sister, the eldest child, smacks her brother's head.
"She is right ダーリン. You looked magnificent, both of you." Her father praises us. "And of course, it is wonderful to see you again Winter."
(Japanese - darling)"You as well Mr. Sato"
"Oh, please sweetie, just call us by our names, Hinata and Ryo. Do you need a ride or anything?"
"No thank you, I'll be okay. I see my family right over there. Have a good night and I'll see you Monday Em." She gives me one last hug before I walk off towards my own family. None of them are looking at me, so I decide to run and jump on Demitrius' back. His hands immediately go to hold my legs to prevent me from falling. I drop myself down and rush into my parent's arms.
"You did amazing sweetheart, and you looked absolutely beautiful."
"Thank Mamá."
"Now, how about we go out to celebrate your first of many wins of the season, hm?"
With that, we leave the rink and head to a restaurant, nothing too fancy. The rest of the night is filled with delicious food, laughter, and the amazing feeling of being with my complete family.

The Next DayIt's Saturday, the day after the recital. I've just finished getting ready to go out with my friends. I'm dressed in a pair of Jean shorts, a strapless top that is decorated with flowers, my white Gucci sneakers, and my hair is in beach waves.
