I tiredly turn off my alarm and rub my eyes as I sit up in bed. I look over at my alarm clock while I stretch and yawn to see that it's 8:00 in the morning. I get up and make my bed like usual. Walking into my bathroom, I do my skin care routine and put my hair into a loose braid before walking into my closet. I have to pick out warm, but athletic clothes considering today is my first figure skating practice.
I look through my hangers and drawers to find what I'm going to wear on the ride to the rink. Black stockings, black sweatpants, and a long sleeve black shirt. I quickly get dressed in the clothes, thankful for the warmth of the sweatpants since it's pretty cold today. I take out a pair of black Uggs to go with the outfit and continue looking for clothes.
In addition to the clothing items I'm wearing now, I also take out a black lightweight skirt, leg warmers, fingerless gloves, and my ice skates. I got my skates when I was picking out what extracurricular activities I wanted to do a few weeks before I started school. As soon as I finished doing that, Vincenzo took me to get new skates, so I've had weeks to break them in and I've skated in them just a few times. I also make sure to grab a coat and a scarf because, once again, it's cold outside.

Once I'm dressed, I pack a bag of whatever essentials I need: water, hair ties, lady essentials, first aid kit, a charger, my airpods, and hand sanitizer. I also put my leg warmers, gloves, and skirt inside my bag as well.
After that, I take my phone off the charger and grab it as well as the bag and my ice skates, mentally checking that I have everything while walking downstairs. I set my bag on the couch and my skates on the floor in the living room and venture into the kitchen room where I see chef Devon (pronounced duh-von) cooking breakfast.
"Good morning Chef Devon. What's for breakfast today?"
"Good morning Winter. I'm making avocado, bacon, and egg toast with hot honey. It's almost ready."
While he finishes up breakfast, I ponder on what drink I want this morning. After a few minutes, I decide on Hibiscus tea with a little flare added to it. After making the tea, I add lemongrass, a small orange slice, and just a bit of maple syrup. Chef Devon finishes up breakfast the same time I finish making my tea.
