As Kian knocked the door swung open to let us in, even though there was nobody there on the other side.

Huh, that was fucking creepy...

"Well, here we go," Kian said as he led us into the room beyond.

The back office of the R&R club was filled with smoke as we walked in. The details of the room were hard to make out, but I could just about see a desk through the thick smog.

"Come in, I don't bite." A deep voice said as the door closed behind us.

"What can I do for you?" A second, higher-pitched voice then asked.

What the fuck? How many people were in this place?

The smoke cleared a little and I had to stop my mouth from falling on the floor as I saw the person who sat behind the desk. Actually, scratch that, the people who sat behind the desk.

Ronnie Roper was a large beast of a man who took up the space of two men, and that's essentially what he was. He had two heads coming off of his huge neck, both smoking a cigarette. The first was large, squat and rather round while the second was thinner in the face with an enormous moustache, but both had the same deep blue eyes - all four of which were focused on Kian.

"I remember you," the thin head said in its high pitched voice.

"Yes," the second head agreed in a much deeper tone "The vampire with a demon in his head."

"That's me," Kian confirmed "I came here with a friend of mine before..."

"Wesley Stiles," the thin head said, "Yes, I remember."

"Sad how he died." the second head added "Killed by a mad werewolf... what a way to go out."

My mind suddenly flashed back and I saw Wesley laying on the floor of Chaz's living room, Victoria trying to stop the bleeding...

No... I can't think about that. Not now.

"When we came to you last time, you said that you could perform an exorcism and get the demon out of my head," Kian said changing the subject "But you didn't get rid of it."

All four of Ronnie's eyes blinked at the same time. Kian had him.

"Exorcisms are tricky to get right at the best of times," the second head replied quickly "What was I supposed to do? Turn you away? You had cash and I was desperate back then."

"So you scammed me?" Kian asked, his eyes flashing with anger.

"No," Ronnie's thinner head said taking the cigarettes out of his mouths and putting them out in the glass ashtrays that sat on the desk "No, I never did that. I didn't perform an exorcism, but I did use a binding spell. I locked the demon away inside an unused memory, there was no other way."

So he thought that locking Kaicius up was going to solve the problem? In my opinion, that choice was just setting a time bomb waiting to fucking blow up in our faces. He really had scammed Kian and Wesley.

"Is there any way that the demon could get out of or break the block without outside help?" Victoria asked.

"Absolutely not!" the thicker head replied, both faces looking annoyed "I'm not an amateur."

"No, you're just a damn good liar." Kian said, I could see his hands shaking "Because you promised me that you could make sure that Kaicius would be gone."

"I never said how long for," the thinner head replied "We all took a chance that day, seems to me like you had a good run."

This guy was starting to piss me off...

"Well, good run or not, we need you to help us get Kaicius out of Kian for good," I said.

Suddenly all four of Ronnie's eyes were staring at me. Shit. His gaze burned into my face, and I could feel the heat rising slowly up my neck as I blushed.

"And how do you propose that we achieve that goal?" Ronnie's thicker head asked, "As I recall, Kian, you willingly let the demon into your soul... there's no way to get it out without his consent."

Crap. I hoped that wasn't true. There had to be a way to get Kaicius out and send him straight back to hell. I didn't want to consider the possibility that we had come all this way to fail at this last hurdle.

"So we just need to be able to convince Kaicius to leave willingly?" Kian asked.

Yeah, there was no bloody way that Kaicius was going to go without a fight. This was not going to be easy.

Well, that's the understatement of the bloody year, Alec...

"I'm going to have to let him take control." Kian said, "We don't have any other choice."

Crap, I really don't like this idea...

"Kian, are you sure about this?" I asked "Like, really sure? I don't want to lose you again."

Turning to face me, Kian took hold of my hands and looked into my eyes, his deep red eyes connecting with mine. In the moment it felt like just the two of us in the room.

"If you don't want me to do this, then I won't, but I know we both want to get rid of Kaicius for good. This is our chance to do that."

Damn it... he was right. We didn't have a choice. Kaicius had to go.

"I know," I replied "I just don't want this to go wrong. Look what happened with Jonathan, we tried to clear my name and Wesley ended up..."

Tears started to burn in the corners of my eyes as thoughts of Wesley came flooding back in and Kian gently wiped them away.

"Alec, if anything, trust in me, eh?" He said softly "I'll come back to you no matter what."

Why the fuck did he have to make such good points...

"Okay," I replied agreeing with him.

Victoria coughed, reminding me that we had an audience "Well then, we're going to need a chair and a strong piece of rope." she said.
