Yurij had ambitions, let's say planetary... and it was of course out of question that the Americans straighten up and even less their French lackeys.

The shuttles prepared to separate and the Chinese as well as the English/Australians would be the first to return to earth.

It was no longer possible to turn back. Not enough fuel, not enough lime and CO2 filters. The chemical reactors were worn out, the plants and the greenhouse and life support systems were exhausted.

The time waves were coming back and transmuting the matter. They had to come back as soon as possible or disintegrate / mummify in the sidereal void, burned by the cosmic and solar radiations.

On board, Captain Bello had done his job.

His flying palace in the shape of a Roman trireme, probably inspired by a visit earlier in history, rested in the shelter of a huge rock cave, protected by an impregnable red shield. The palace was gigantic.
