Lance's P.O.V
"Lance, WAKE UP!" I hear someone yell. I jumped out of bed.
"What! what happened?" I ask seeing Pidge is the one who woke me up.
"You were too busy wearing MY headphones, to hear the alarm," Pidge says.
"Did something happen?" I ask.
"No, it was just a drill... you failed," Pidge says, grabbing her headphones and walking out.
I get dressed and walk out to the dining room. I see Hunk putting away cooking stuff.
"Hey," I say.
"Hey, do you want me to reheat your breakfast?" Hunk asks.
"No, I got it," I say. Hunk leaves, and I put my food in the microwave. As I'm eating my food, Keith walks in.
I remember the bathroom and start blushing, and I start choking on my food.
Keith's P.O.V
I walk into the dining room, and Lance starts choking. "Lance, are you ok?" I ask, patting his back.
"Yeah," he coughs "yeah, I'm fine," he says. I look at him, and he's blushing. I remember the bathroom and start blushing too.
Lance and I are staring at each other in awkward silence when we hear Shiro's voice over the speaker. "Paladins, meet me and Allura in the lobby,".
Lance and I go to the lobby and see everyone waiting for us. We sit down and listen to Shiro and Allura.
"Ok, Paladins, we have three important missions,"
"we split up into three groups," Allura and Shiro say.
"The teams will be Pidge and Hunk, Me and Shiro, and Keith and Lance," Allura says.
"What do we have to be partners?" Lance asks, looking at me,
"because," Shiro says, and Lance sits down.
"We're going to different plants for three missions," Allura says.
"Hunk and Pidge we will be going to the Balmera, to reserve intall and other supplies," Shiro says.
"Hey, you'll get to see your girlfriend," Pidge teases Hunk, Hunk just embarrassingly laughs.
"Kieth and Lance will go to planet Griezian Sur to scout the Galra," Allura says
"wait it's that where we find the green lion?" Pidge asks.
"Yes, it's been taken over," Shiro says.
After a couple more instances of what to do and where to go, Allura and Shiro say we'll leave tomorrow night.
I go back to my room and lay in my bed. I start getting sleepy and close my eyes.
As I sleep, I start to have a dream, I'm in nothing but blackness.
I hear multiple people yelling my name like they are being tortured.
I look all around but see no one. Then all the paladins show up out of nowhere.
I heard a voice say, "Can you save them, or will you fail just as they will fail you,". The ground behind them starts to disperse peace by peace.
Allura, Pidge, and Shiro fall as if they were falling off a cliff as the black floor breaks off and a white hole replaces it that seems to go on forever.
The ground breaks off, and I start running towards them. By the time I get there, the only one left is Lance.
"Lance!!!" I yell as he falls, I grab his hand at the last second. The ground stops falling, and I'm trying to lift him up, but I can't for some reason.
"Lance, hold on,"
Lance's eyes turn black, and he says, "He doesn't care about you, just let go," he says, but his voice says differently.
The last part of what he said seems to be echoing. I try pulling him up, but he slips out of my hand and falls.
"LANCE!!!!" I yell as he falls. His eyes were still black, and he was grinning. The ground supporting me breaks, and we both fall.
"Keith... Keith... Keith, wake up!" I hear someone yell, and then I shot up from my nightmare.
I see Lance sitting by my bed scared, trying to wake me up.
I'm sweating and patting as I look at Lance. "Hey, hey, it's ok," Lance says, trying to claim me down.
I throw the blankie off me and sit with my legs off the side of the bed next to Lance, still panting, trying to breathe.
"You ok?" Lance asks with a worried expression.
"Yeah," I say, still panting and with elbows on the knees and my hands rubbing on my face and my hair, leaning over my knees.
Lance could clearly tell I was lying and started rubbing and drawing small circles on my back.
I take a couple more deep breaths. "Why are you here?" I ask, confused.
"I heard you yelling from outside," Lance says, kind of blushing.
I remember what happened in my dream and wonder if I was sleep talking. "W-what was I saying?" I ask, blushing.
"Um, I could make it out," Lance says. I think he's lying, but don't say anything about it.
"What were you dreaming about?" Lance asks.
"It was just a nightmare," I say, blushing.
"Um," Lance says hesitantly.
"Yeah?" I ask
"you... you were saying my, um... my-"
"name," I say, blushing and finishing his sentence.
"Yeah," Lance says, blushing like crazy. I look at him, and he's looking at the floor blushing.
He looks at me, we're staring at each other in silence, he opens his mouth like he's going to say something but the overhead mic starts saying
"we're getting ready to leave meet in the cargo hold," Aulla's voice says.
