The Acheing Heart: Lance x Keith

I don't remember

[three days later]

Lance's P.O.V

When I wake up, I'm see what looks like a blue shield around me. I scream and bang on in. It opens, I try to step out, but my legs won't move, and I fall.

Before I hit the floor, I feel someone catch me. "You ok?" I hear someone ask. My eyes start to force, and I see Keith. I nod, "Yeah, I'm fine," I say, getting up.

Keith helps me to a bed. Allura and the others walk in. "Lance!!!" they yell, running to me. "Are you ok?" Pidge asks. "Yeah," I say. "ok, I need to take a look at your wounds, everyone out," Allura says.

Keith was the last one to leave. "So what happened?" Allura asks."I was stabbed a couple of times," I say, making an obvious face. "No, between you and Keith," She says. "What do you mean?" I ask, looking at her like a confused puppy.

"he hasn't left your bedside in three days. He's been worried sick," Allura says. I start blushing like crazy. After Allura runs some tests, she leaves, and everyone comes in.

"Hey," "How are you?" Shiro and Pidge say with Hunk with them but no Keith. "Uh, yeah, I'm fine,... where's Keith?" I ask. "Don't know," "After you woke up, he disappeared," Hunk and Shiro say.

"Are you hungry?". "I was about to cook something," Pidge and Hunk say. "Uh, sure," I say. "Go ahead, I'll meet you there," I say, getting halfway out of bed.

They start leaving and heading to the kitchen. Once I get up, I go to Keith's room. I knocked on the door, but there no response. I open his room and see his not there. 'Where could he be,' I go to the lobby, still no Keith.

I go to the training room. I go inside and start looking around. "Keith, are you here?" I say, looking around but getting no response. While I look around, I notice one of Keith's knives on the ground by the vent. I go over to it and pick up the knife, I then realize the vent is open.

I move the door and look through the vent and see what looks like a room and a light. I climb down the vent and am surprised to see a secret room and Keith. It's a small room, and I can't stand up all the way.

He is sitting on a bunch of blankets while watching T.V. "Lance, what are you doing here?" Keith asks, surprised to see me. "I could ask you the same thing. What is this place?" I ask. "My secret room," Keith says. "You're what now," I say, confused.

"Coran showed me it. He said I could have it," Keith says. "What are you here?" I asked, sitting next to him. Keith does say anything and just looks at the floor. "I, uh, needed to get out of there," He says.

Keith's P.O.V

Lance finds my room. He sat down next to me, I couldn't stop thinking about what he said in Red. 'Keith, I love you' was all I could think about. "Keith, why are you here?" Lance asks again.

"I needed to get out of there," I repeated. "Why?" "Cause,... I was scared," I say .Why?" "I... thought I was going to lose you," I say, not looking at him. "Keith, I'm ok," He says. "Lance, I was covered in your blood," I say, looking at him. He looks surprised.

"You almost die because of me," I say, I look at the floor, thinking when I feel hands wrap around me. Lance's hands around me and his head resting on my shoulder.

I'm surprised but don't say anything. "It's not your fault," Lance says, snuggling into my shoulder. I wrap my arms around him and lay back with him. "Hey, Lance, do you remember what you said?... in Red," I ask.

"I can't really remember anything from when I was in Red, I last thing I remember was you and Matt helping me into Red," he says. "Why, what did I say?" He says, getting up and hovering over me.

I think about it, 'should I tell him what he said?'. "Didn't I do something stupid?" He asks. "Yeah, uh, yeah, it was stupid," I say. 'Really really stupid'. He snuggles back into my chest. I feel myself start to fall asleep when the emergency alarms start to go off. Lance and I jump up. We quickly go through the vent back to the training room and go to the lobby.

Lance's P.O.V

We see everyone there, "what's going on?" I ask. "Lotor," Shiro says. I get a flashback of him and what happened to me. Not just him stabbing me but all of it. I look over to Keith and see anger in his eyes.

"Well, let's go get him," Keith says. We all go to the changing room and then our lions. Everyone goes inside and starts their lions up. I get to Blue and sit in my chair.

When I put my hands on the controls to start it up, it doesn't start. "Lance, where are you?" Shiro asks over comments with everyone waiting for me outside. "Blue won't turn on," I say. "Blue replies, though you, Lance, if there something wrong with you, she'll sense it," Allura says.

"It's ok, we'll handle this one," Shiro says. "Yeah, sorry guys," I say, walking out of Blue. I go to the lobby with Allura and Coran. I watch them fight Lotor on the stream. Keith is mainly going after Lotor.

After fighting for a while, Keith and Lotor both get hurt pretty badly. Lotor retreats. They all come back, and Allura and I go to the cargo hold. I go over to Keith, he's ok, just a couple of bruises.

We all go back to the kitchen, "Hey, Lance, where were you?" Pidge asks "what do you mean?" I ask courfed. "You didn't come to the kitchen early. We were in the medical room, and you weren't there," Pidge says "you weren't in your room either," Shiro says.

"I, uh, was,..." I say blushing and looking at Keith. I think Shiro could tell I was with Keith. He laughs and goes back to what he is doing. When I looked at Keith, I could tell he was blushing.

"Done," Hunk says, bringing the food to the dinner table. After we all eat, we just sit already at the table taking. "Oh, I talked to Matt. All the Muldoks made it out alive, some injuries, but he said they'll all live," Pidge says.

I start to remember everything that happened on that planet. "That's good news, but I'm feeling kind of tired, I'm going to bed," I say, putting my plate in the sink and walking out.

As speed walks to my room, I start panting and walking faster to my room. Just as I was about to open my room door, I felt someone's hand on mine. I freak out and turn to see who it was.

"Are you ok?" Keith asks. I let out a sign of relief. "Hey, what's wrong?" Keith asks. I don't say anything and pull Keith into my room. I walk over and sit on my bed. I rub my hand on my face as Keith sits next to me.

He puts his hand on my thigh, "What is it?" He asks. I tell him everything Galra did to me. After I look up at him. He doesn't have any reactions when all of sudden he hugs me.

I'm so surprised I fall back with Keith still hugging me. "Uh, Keith?" I say confused. "I'm so sorry, Lance," he says, still hugging me and snuggling into my neck. "Keith," I say, blushing. "What happened to me... it wasn't your fault," I say as he moves and is now hovering over me.
