"oh" was never a good sign, especially not when they have that one look on their face that makes your face turn pale and your whole body freeze up. remember that one scene from high school musicial, or maybe it was the series; nini didn't know right now but there was this one scene where one of the main characters admitted their feelings to the other by saying 'i love you' and he just replied with "oh". yeah, she was feeling like her right now.

"oh?" nini choked out barely above a whisper, if nobody in the room was as shocked as they were right now, they wouldn't have heard her. nini knew that if her mums found out she went to ricky's house only a couple days after he supposedly 'cheated' on her, that she would be getting herself into some deep trouble. but she is sixteen! she is old enough to make her own decisions! she doesn't need her mums guiding her every move.

"nina, why did you go to ricky's house?" nini could hear the seriousness in mama d's voice, causing her to shuffle back in her seat from pure fear. who knew what this woman was capable of?

"i-i went there to c-comfort h-him." she sniffled, wiping away at her tears, her blurry vision not allowing her to see the confused looks on her mothers faces. "h-his p-parents w-were a-arguing a-again."

"wait- how would you have known that his parents were arguing? he didn't text you, did he?" mama d was fuming at this point. she didn't want this happening to her daughter, nobody deserved this, nobody deserved to be cheated on and used.  fucking hyprocrite. hm? what was that? you saw nothing.

"mama d he isn't using me! for fucks sake! he was scared,nervous and upset so he simply called a friend to help him out! it's not that big of a deal!" nini snapped. despite the burning tears streaming down her face, this girl looked like she was about to blow up in flames. "you know? not everyone is like you, dana. not everyone is constantly jumping from woman to woman or man to man or whatever you wanna do! not everyone cheats and them comes back to use them. ricky, as in ricky from kindergarten, the same ricky bowen whom i have been best friends with since i was 4, most certainly would NEVER do that. yes, maybe he cheated on me, but do we know the full story? no, no we don't. so don't fucking jump to your shitty conclusions until you can understand their big picture!" and after that nini excused herself from the room, rushing herself upstairs and locking her bedroom door behind her.

dana was shocked to say the least.
