The sound of the megaphone woke all of us up on 7:50 in the morning, we all jumped out of bed, but I was feeling so sleepy that I decided to put my head back on my pillow. The bed felt too good to be left alone.

I heard the guys casually walking to the bathroom and washing their eyes so they could wake up. I was still not convinced that I should be waking up.

The guys got ready and went outside, I could feel myself almost falling asleep again, just when two hands grab me and shake the life out of me.

"Tim, Tim, Wake up. It's 8 AM, you got to wake up." responded Joey while still shaking me, trying to get me out of bed.

"Fine, I'll be out in a bit." I responded tiredly.

"Alright I'll wait for you outside with the others, make it quick, okay?"

"Yeah, yeah, sure."

unconvinced, he left the room and went outside to join the others.

"I should get ready quick." I said to myself as I rushed out of the bed and ran straight to the bathroom to wash my eyes.

I got changed after getting out of the bathroom and then went straight outside. I could see that some of the other campers hadn't gotten ready yet as well, since some of them got outside with their pajamas on.

"Not surprised." I thought to myself.

I saw Nina and some of the friends from my group so I decided to join them, I started walking faster so I could reach them quicker and see what they were talking about.

"Oh, good morning Tim!" All together they greet me.

"Hey, good morning. What are you guys doing."

"We're just talking, the staff told us we have to wait for everyone so we can start the morning song before having breakfast." said one of the girls I didn't know the name of yet.

"Oh cool. Some of the others are in PJs." I said.

We all started laughing about it. Some had really cute pajamas.

"Anyways did you guys sleep well?" I hesitantly ask to initiate a conversation for the first time.

"Yes, but we fell asleep very late since we ended up chatting all night with the girls at my cabin." responded Nina.

"I slept like an angel on the clouds." Raphael says with his hands crossed on his chest while looking to the sky admirably.

Once again we started laughing and this time a little harder than before, Raphael always brightened up our moods up, he is just that one person who's funny without even trying, he can talk about anything and make it funnier than it actually is.

Slowly more and more people start to come and around 8:24-ish, the camp counselors advised us to follow them into the front of the main hall so we can sing the winning song.

I stayed with the members of my group, in the left side I had Raphael, in the right side I had Nina, so it wouldn't be that much scary for me, wouldn't it?

The counselors start to pass sheets of papers with the lyrics of the winning song in it so we could sing it together. I barely remember how it went, or what the lyrics were like, but I know that since it was the first time everyone was singing it, we had to sing it 4 times until we got it right.

Some people were missing the beats, some were still feeling sleepy, it was tiring for some of us, but we had our fun so I won't be complaining about it.

"Alright, after numerous tries we finally got it! We will be singing it on the next morning so by then I trust you guys will be able to perform it well and with much more energy!
