Damian

"Dame, saan ka na? We're here already."

I closed the fridge after I filled the glass with water that's now sitting on my kitchen's countertop. I turned around and leaned on the island, looking at the man sitting at my living room, knees are curled towards himself, arms hugging them. His shoulder's going up and down and then shake probably because of too much crying.

"I can't go," sabi ko sa kabilang linya. It's Truce who's calling me. Papunta dapat ako sa HighLytes nang mabangga ako ni Jaden. Halatang wala ito sa sarili nang nakita ko. And when I asked him, he just cried. Pinapasok ko siya rito sa loob para mahimasmasan.

Bakit ba palagi ko nalang itong nakikitang umiyak? Although he's still pretty and hot while crying, I would prefer it for different reason.

"Huh? I thought you're on your way. Scam ka talaga. Chasey will get mad at you again," I rolled my eyes as if Truce will see it.

"Important matter. Sige na, tangina disturbo ka."

Hindi ko na hinintay ang sasabihin pa nito at pinutol na ang tawag. Napakaingay niya kahit kailan. Pinagtiya-tiyagaan ko na nga lang e.

I grabbed the glass of water and head towards Jaden. He raised his head to face me and I couldn't help but to utter a curse inside my head when I look at his face.

Red eyes, swollen and wet. Red and stuffy nose. God, he still looks fine but he's miserable and a damn mess. What made him like this?

Inabot ko ang tubig sa kanya na agad naman nitong tinanggap bago ako umupo kaharap nito. He held the glass with both of his hands. He drank on it before he placed it on the table. I watched him as he inhaled an amount of air and noticed how he shake when he exhaled it.

I leaned on the couch that I am sitting and crossed my arms while watching him intently. Hindi ako nagsalita dahil hindi ko alam kung saan magsisimula.

Should I ask? What should I do in this kind of situation? Comfort him, perhaps? Pero hindi ako marunong sa ganoon. The last time I tried to comfort him was when I saw him at HighLytes. Maybe it's the same reason, right now? What if when I try to comfort him this time, we'll end up having sex—God, why am I thinking about this? Get your dick together, Damian!

"S-sorry for breaking...d-down a while ago." Tiningnan ko lang si Jaden. His voice is was shaking. He's playing with his fingers, head's looking down, sniffing, and inhaling loudly.

I wanted to ask him why but I chose to stay silent. I don't want to meddle and I am not that interested with his personal life. Curious, maybe? Pero hanggang doon lang. Hanggang doon lang muna.

"You can stay here..."

I pursed my lips. Now I am going against my words. For some reason, gusto kong samahan muna ito. I can't leave him like this. Hindi ako ganoong tao.

Inangat ni Jaden ang kanyang mukha at nagtagpo ang mga tingin namin. Hindi ko mawari kung ano ang iniisip niya. Bumukas ang bibig nito na tila may sasabihin ngunit tinikom din agad. Later on, he nodded his head.

"Let's watch some movie," anyaya ko. I didn't wait for him to respond. I turned on my TV and scanned for a movie to watch. Matapos kong makapili ay sabay kaming nanuod ni Jaden. We're watching a romance movie. I am not a fan of it ngunit dahil iyon ang pinili ni Jaden ay tumango lamang ako at iyon ang pinanuod namin. He's watching the movie seriously and quietly. Hindi ko maiwasang mapatitig sa kanya paminsan-minsan.

Jaden caught my eyes the first time I saw him. With his healthy black hair that bounces with his every movement, his beautiful pair of almond eyes, his well-sculpted nose that fits well with the shape of his face—everything about Jaden's face screams attractiveness. He's handsome and pretty at the same time. He has soft features that goes along with his fair and delicate skin. I couldn't describe how beautiful he is, hindi ko talaga maikakaila ang ganda ng itsura niya.
