Everyone was frantic at this point. Mina had been shot in the chest and she was losing too much blood. The attack had happened out of nowhere and now they were fighting for survival. Mina's survival. Jungkook, Yoongi and Taehyung had chased after the cowardly vampire that had shot her while the others had grabbed everything they could before taking off. Jin wasted no time in speeding out of there, Namjoon in the passenger seat while Hoseok and Jimin were in the back seat doing everything they could to stop the bleeding.
"Fuck fuck fuck fuck! There's too much blood! She's gonna bleed out if we don't stop it!" Jimin yelled out in frustration as he tried to figure out what to to. Hoseok had his hands pressed down on her chest with a shirt to stop the bleeding, but it just kept coming. The bullet was lodged somewhere in her chest and he didn't know if it had hit a major artery or not. She was getting paler by the second and wasn't responding either.
"Jimin. Is that supposed to be happening to her?" Hoseok had asked hesitantly as he noticed something peaking out from the top of her shirt. Jimin quickly pulled it down, sucking in a breath as he saw the discoloration spreading across her chest and moving up towards her neck. Poison. She'd been poisoned.
"Jin. We have a bigger problem now. Mina's been poisoned and it's spreading fast. That fucker must have laced the bullets with it. We need to find someone who can treat this fast." Jimin said as calmly as possible as he looked down at Mina. She looked awful. She was paler than he'd ever seen her and she was icy cold to the touch. All it took was one look in the rear view mirror and Jin was flooring it. He knew exactly where to go and he knew he was running out of time. He wasn't going to let Mina die. He refused to and he'd do anything to keep her alive.
Mina had no idea where she was. One minute she had been with the guys, showing them the trinkets she had found and now she was surrounded by nothingness. She tried calling out for someone but her voice wouldn't come out. She was scared and no matter how much she ran, she wasn't going anywhere. Why was this happening to her?
'Silly girl. No one is going to save you. Why would they? You're just a burden to them. Do you really think they enjoy being around you? They pity you. You're an embarrassment. A pure blood vampire that can't even defend herself? You're tarnishing your bloodline. You're better off dead and you know that. No one will miss you. No one will even know you're gone. Just imagine how peaceful their life would be with you gone?'
"You're lying! That's not true at all!"
'The only one who is lying, is you. You know I'm right. Deep down you know it's true. Your parents, them. They'd all be so much happier that you're gone. They only tolerate you. Your mere existence is a stain on this world.'
"It's all a lie. My parents. They love me and so do the guys. They-they even told me I was part of their pack."
'And you believe them? Foolish child. Who do you think it is that wants you dead? You think it's a mere coincidence that they showed up? After all these years of living peacefully? You're a disappointment. A coward who feeds off blood bags. You're useless.'
"Just stop it! I don't believe you! I know my parents tolerate me but they still love me in some aspect and the guys. They love me and I love them. I cherish every moment we've spent together and they make me feel whole so just stop!"
Mina woke with a gasp, her eyes wide as she looked around her surroundings. She didn't know where she was and she didn't know how she got her. Everything was a blur. Her body felt weighed down as she tried to move, letting out a groan when she felt a sharp pain shoot through her chest. What the hell had happened?
"Mina! You're awake! Thank heavens! We were so worried about you!" Came Hoseok's voice as he quickly approached her, helping her sit up in a more comfortable position. They'd been so worried she wasn't going to wake up let alone pull through. The poison had spread fast and had Jin not known someone that could help them, Mina would have indeed died.
"W-what happened? I can't remember anything." Mina asked Hoseok as she looked up at him. He paused for a moment, biting his bottom lip while looking down at the ground as he messed with the sheets. "Hoseok. What happened? You're freaking me out." She asked as she tried not to panic.
"Y-you almost died. It happened so fast we didn't have time to react. H-he came out of nowhere and shot you. In the chest. What's worse was he laced the bullets with poison. It spread way too fast. We almost lost you. If Jin hadn't known someone that specialized in poisons, you wouldn't be here right now. You've been out for almost a week too." He said softly as he finally looked at her.
Mina didn't have time to process everything as Jungkook came into the room, alerting the rest of the group that she was awake. Soon all seven of them were crammed into the tiny room, asking her all sorts of questions and if she needed anything. She wasn't even listening to them at this point. The fact that she almost died and was unconscious for almost a week was really taking a toll on her right now.
"Okay everyone needs to get out of here right now. You're smothering her and she's going to freak out. I need to look over her wound." Came a voice from the doorway. Immediately everyone shuffled out of the room, looking back at her before it was just the two of them. She had no idea who he was but she assumed he was the one who saved her life.
"I've never seen the seven of them cause such a commotion over someone before. You must be very important to them. They haven't slept in days and they've all camped outside your room waiting for you to wake up. Don't worry though, I made sure they were well taken care of and ate and slept when they could so don't feel bad, love." The male said to her as he tended to her wound, cleaning it up before adding some ointment to it and then covering it with some gauze. "You're healing nicely considering all things. Whoever poisoned you knew what they were doing. This was a rare kind so however they got it, must have had some very high connections.
"Thank you. For everything. I'm sure you weren't expecting something like this to happen but you look like the type of person who deals with craziness on a daily basis. I'm just having a really hard time remembering everything but I guess that to be expected." Mina said before letting out a sigh as she watched the nameless man pack everything away back into his kit.
"You're welcome. Any friend of them is a friend of mine. You'll be on bed rest for at least another week. Your food intake can be normal but I do suggest increasing your blood intake as well considering how much you lost. This poison was no joke so please take it easy and do not let those idiots out there smother you. You need as much rest as possible without putting too much strain on your body and that wound. I'll be by later with some food for you." He said before leaving the room.
This was going to be a very long two weeks for her.
