Opposites Attract

Ambush

"Thanks for cooking dinner, Jin. It was amazing and thank you for going grocery shopping as well. I really don't mind having you all here. Just ya, know." Mina said as she gave him a sheepish smile.

"No, thank you Mina. We all needed to hear that. We've been searching for the vampire that hired us everywhere and you've been kind enough to let us camp out here that we just got too comfortable and forgot we're just guests." Jin said to her as the two of them washed dishes.

"Well you're not guests anymore. You all have pretty much made yourselves at home which I don't mind just as long as you all take care of it accordingly. I know you've been working really hard trying to find this guy and Namjoon had told me that you all couldn't pick up a scent on him when he approached you that night so that's making it even harder. Namjoon also said it'd be best to install security cameras around here as well in case he starts to show up since you know, I'm not dead." She said, whispering out the last part.

"That'd be the best option as well as installing UV lights since they're harmful to vampires." Came Yoongi's voice as he stood in the entrance way. Yoongi was the quiet one of the group. Hardly ever spoke unless he deemed it necessary or he was looking out for the younger three of the group which they seemed to enjoy being scolded by him because he never showed any emotion. Also, Yoongi was insanely pretty for a werewolf.

"Though they're not harmful to your kind so you'll be just fine. You're definitely being watched or we're all being watched right now. Jungkook and I found various spots around the area of someone camping out for long periods of time while doing our normal rounds so we're going to need to be extra careful from now on and since he doesn't have a scent, he's more than likely using scent blockers to throw us off. He's doing his hardest to stay off the grid. We also don't know how long he's been watching you before we came into the picture." Yoongi said, letting out yawn before all hell broke loose.

"Someone help! Jimin's been injured!" Came Taehyung's panicked voice from outside. Mina's stomach dropped at those words as all of them ran into the living room to see Taehyung and Hoseok carrying in Jimin's bloody body. There was so much blood.

"We we're just doing our normal rounds and it all happened so fast. It was a booby trap. Jimin or one of us must have triggered it but it's silver bullets. Jimin got the full blast of them all." Taehyung said, his voice shaky and on the brink of tears as he laid them on the couch.

"Fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck! I knew I should have gone with y'all! That assholes gonna pay!" Jungkook said in a frustrated tone, running his fingers through his hair angrily as he tried not to shift into his form.

"I need everyone to back away. Hoseok, Namjoon. Find me as many towels as possible. I need gloves and two bowls of water. One hot, one cold. Now! Yoongi, help me get off Jimin's shirt without hurting him any further and Mina, he'll be okay. Just stay with Taehyung and Jungkook okay? They'll feel better with you near them." Jin said before he got to work on saving Jimin's life as Mina just nodded her head.

It was eerie silent in her house. Everyone was quiet and focused on Jimin who didn't even look like he was breathing at this point. The scent of blood was so strong, it was almost choking Mina at this point but she did her best to ignore it. Jin had managed to get out six of the eight silver bullets that had been lodged in his body. One was in his shoulder and the other one was dangerously close to his heart. There was a very good possibility that Jin wouldn't be able to get it out.

There was only one way that could save Jimin's life but it was a line that could not be crossed. It was taboo and if either of them crossed that line, who knows what would happen. Without really thinking, Mina quickly pushed her way through the guys until she was in front of Jimin as she dropped to her knees. His heart beat was weak and getting weaker by the moment.

"Mina? What are you doing?" Jin asked softly from behind.

"I'm sorry but this is the only way. He's not going to make it if we wait any longer." Mina said right before she bit into her wrist, gathering enough blood in her mouth. She quickly tilted his head back, opening his mouth slightly before cupping his cheek as their lips connected, giving him her blood. She heard nothing but gasps around her as she continued to give him her blood until there was no more. Pulling back, she quickly wiped her mouth as she watched what would happen.

"What the hell." Jungkook whispered out.

Vampire blood was potent. Especially when it came from a pureblood. Giving it to a werewolf was completely against the rules as they didn't know what would happen when the two bloods mixed but Mina wasn't going to let him die. The color in his body came back fast, his heart beat returned to normal and the bullets that were still lodged were pushed out of his body as her blood healed him. She could breathe out a sigh of relief as she knew he was going to be okay. They all could.

But now to address the elephant in the room. Mina couldn't tell if they were all mad at her for doing what she did. Their scents hadn't changed but she knew they were all shocked. Standing up, she turned around to see them all staring at her. She was nervous to see who would go off on her first.

"T-thank you. I know that was a hard decision for you to make but thank you. You saved his life and we're forever in your debt. I don't know how Jimin is going to feel when he wakes up since he's the least fond of vampires but we're grateful." Namjoon said honestly as he ran his fingers through his hair.

Mina looked down at Jimin for a moment before looking back at the rest of them as she gave them a small smile, nodding her head. Jimin had been the most distance since the night they met and that was fine. She knew he didn't like her kind and that was understandable. He only really behaved because Namjoon and Jin told him to.

"That's fine. I expect as much. I'm sure that was hard for you all to watch as well. I know vampires and werewolves aren't supposed to mix blood. It's against the rules but I was never told why. I would do the same for any of you to be honest. I don't know how long he'll be out but we should move him to the guest room so he can rest probably. I just did some of your laundry as well that was left behind so you all  can change into that and shower while I clean everything up." Mina said feeling very tired all of a sudden.

"No Mina. We got this. I'm sure that was the first time you gave blood to someone and I'm sure it's taking a toll on you. We'll take care of everything and you go to bed. You need your rest as well." Hoseok said as he noticed how pale and tired she looked.

Mina just nodded her head, saying good night to everyone as she made her way upstairs and into her bedroom. Giving Jimin her blood had really taken a toll on her body and she didn't really remember anything else as her head hit her pillow and she passed out.
