Zane was already in the training ground by the time Ave had arrived as he was training with his instructor. Ave was slightly impressed by the dedication the lad has despite being so young. He did not complain about the blazing sun above his head like the peers of his age.

The sweltering heat would have called for a break but not for Zane as he diligently hone his blade. For a child it was impressive, to Ave it was trivial. For someone who had been forced to fight days on end without respite under the sweltering sun, Ave was far more experienced.

Still, Ave gave credit when credit is due as she patiently waited for Zane to finish his warm-ups. "A-are you still mad dear?" Ave turned to see the couple walking behind her. Yana smiles warmly at Ave as if nothing had happened yesterday.

"I would be lying if I say no." Ave bluntly stated as she stared at Zane intently. The boy was still immersed in his warm-up that he did not notice the three of them at all. "...Go easy on him will you dear?" Yana softly asked as Ave shook her head.

"He will get the wrong idea if I did that." Ave explained as she picked up a wooden sword. "He will believe, perhaps even revere that damn ideology of his..." Ave paused as she felt a glare bearing down on her shoulder.

Ave turned to see Zane's trainer was glaring at her from a distance but quickly glances away as soon as their gazes were met. Ave visibly frowned as she remembers only foul memories from the man. She would have beaten him to death were if not for the intervention of her father.

Ever since then, Kyle or anyone particular on that matter did not dare undermine Ave's strength simply because of her gender. Ave had broken the man's pride so much that day that he had to take a long leave, using his injuries as an excuse.

"...I'll have to break him down here before the idea festers in his mind and corrupts his potential..." Ave said as she slowly walk towards Zane. The boy finally notices Ave and the couple as he quickly arranges himself.

Ave walked around loosely as her guard was down. Seeing her defenseless state, Zane frowned as he raised his wooden sword high as a warning. "You are finally here dear sister. As Zane André, I hereby challenge you to a spa-"

"You talk too much." Ave said before suddenly shifting her stance. Ave swung the blade in an arc as Zane barely manages to block the blow as his eyes widen in surprise. "H-hey! I was still-" "The enemy won't wait for you." Ave whispered as she kicked Zane in the leg.

Ave could not help but pull a dirty move on Zane as he was practically begging for it. Zane yelped in pain as he stumbled from the surprise attack. "T-that is-!" Zane was cut off once more as Ave bluntly hits him in the nose with the pommel of her sword.

Zane crashed down to the ground on his back, daze as he was still processing what just happened. His nose reddens from the blow but could not feel the pain as adrenaline drowns out the pain. He blinked again and again as Ave patiently waited for him to stand.

"That was a dirty move my lady." Kyle, Zane's personal sword instructor, growled in disagreement as Ave simply stared down at Zane to stand back up. Kyle reddens in frustration as he was blatantly ignored.

"Young master Zane was still issuing his challenge, yet you cut him off before he could even prepare himself." Kyle said as Zane found himself agreeing with Kyle as he slowly stands back up. "How can this even be called a proper spar?" Kyle said as he shook his head.

Zane found his gaze staring at the couple as they also frown in disagreement with Ave's surprise attack. "You should be ashamed of your-" "The one who should be ashamed is you sir Kyle." Ave coldly whispered as she finally shifted her gaze.

Kyle shut his mouth tight as he met Ave's cold gaze. The unpleasant memories begins to rush back in his mind as Ave begins to whisper in a freighting subdued tone. "You are the mentor of this child. You are its master, its teacher yet why is it that he could not see a simple leg kick?"
