XXII | DRAGON GAMES (PT. 2)

[A/N: Honestly speaking, I've completely forgot about Annie and Andy being part of the story lmao. Rest assured, they'll be having more scenes by Epic Winter, but I'll try to insert them as much as possible from here to future chapters in relevant scenes.]

The next day, all students of Ever After High were all gathered at Charmitorium. Elise was sitting in between Dexter and Apple, who was sat beside Mira then Raven.

"What is with the sudden assembly?" Elise heard Mira asked to Raven who answered, "It's top secret. No one knows!" Blondie butted in to the two's conversation. "I heard there's a special guess." 

"Ooh! This is hexciting!" Apple clapped in excitement.

Elise suddenly felt a shuddered down her spine which Dexter noticed, "Are you okay?" Elise nodded to him in assurance. Dexter intertwined their hands together to which the snow princess smiled at.

"It is my honor to welcome back our most successful graduate, our beloved queen, Snow White." Headmaster Grimm announced before revealing Snow White herself. The crowd erupted into cheers as they took sight on their queen.

"Woah..." Elise muttered to herself. This was the very first time that she saw Apple's mom face to face, rather than through the MirrorCast or newspapers. Honestly, she admits that the beauty of the queen was a sight to behold.

"A little bird told me that dragons have returned to my beloved alma mater. So it's time we restored the good old ways. Today, the dragon games are reinstated at Ever After High!" Everyone then erupted to cheers once again at the mention of dragon games.

"The dragon games are tough, yet elegant. And I want my Ever After riders dressed accordingly. I've hired the creative team of Lizzie Hearts and Ashlynn Ella to design all-new dragon wear." A platform went up to show the two royals mentioned. The O'Hair sisters then walked down the spiraled staircase wearing the outfits Lizzie and Ashlynn had designed.

"These looks are lightweight, flexible, and fashion-forward." Lizzie introduced the outfits first, Ashlynn following after, "Not to mention fireproof, ice-proof, and explosion resistant." To demonstrate, they had two of the dragons that Poppy and Holly now owned to spit fire and ice. The armor protecting the sisters' from burns.

"Adorable! Now, I can't very well bring back dragon riding in an old dilapidated arena! If you'll all follow me outside..."

"Allow me to present the new Ever After High dragon center!"

They were now all outside at the dragon games arena. Everyone clapped in amazement, especially on how huge the arena was. Elise was excited most of all, after having her own dragon, she wanted to try and participate in dragon games.

"Hold your applause, please. I must admit, this was not my idea. My daughter Apple thought bringing back dragon games would unite everyone with school spirit!" The crowd then clapped for Apple White herself. Elise noticed the discomfort on her face as she made her way up stage beside her mom.

"Wow, mom, why didn't you tell me about all this? Why did you say it was my idea when it wasn't?" Apple awkwardly waved at the students watching them. "Oh, you're welcome, my little Apple dumpling." Snow White told her with no guilt in her.

"But, mom. It's a lie!" Apple argued, slightly raising her voice to which got some's attention. "We discussed this! Sometimes you've gotta pull out all the stops and use your resources to get your fairytale back on track." Her mom reassured her, waving back to the people.

"Whoa. Mira was right. We are different." Snow White raised a brow wondering who her daughter was talking about. "Who?"

"Me!" Everyone's attention was now on Mira Shards as she stepped forward. "And you can't always just buy popularity, Snow."
